I've had a few rough weeks training for the DL half...🏃🏃🚶🚶to the point where I was wondering if I had ruined my love of running, lol. 😔 I know all athletes hit tough patches in their training, but I was really feeling worse mentally than I'd ever expected, and hadn't felt "runner's high" for what felt like years. I REALLY wasn't looking forward to my first ten miler today (my first ever double-digit run), but it ended up going really well! I finished 2 minutes per mile quicker than last week's nine-miler. I'm feeling a lot stronger today and A LOT more confident about the upcoming run, now! I guess it's true that the struggle is usually more mental than physical. I'm starting to look forward to my last few weeks of training, and I know a more positive attitude will make a difference. ✨Please share your stories and victories: what do you do when "the going gets tough?" Any special tips or words of advice for other Chub 33ers who've hit a tough spot (of any kind)?
