Hi, everyone! I have been naughty ever since we got back from Disneyland. I went back to my old eating habits and now feel worse about myself than I did before I started WW. I need to get healthy and if not for me, for my kiddos. Could everyone share their choice of workout?

I don't have a specific program I follow (maybe I should). I do a morning circul before my shower to get things started. It takes me about 5-10 min. I do squats, lunges, sit ups or whatever I can think of. For me it starts my day off feeling like I'm already invested in an on plan day. Hi there! Right now I'm training for the half marathon, so I do a lot of running. Usually, though, I try to balance cardio, strength training, and flexibility. For cardio, I alternate between running, using the elliptical, and riding my road bike; I love kettlebells for strength training; and for flexibility, I prefer Pilates. I also like doing crossfit workouts every so often. I have heard great things about the Tracy Anderson Method, though I haven't tried her DVDs. Hope this helps a bit! I like to run intervals. Lately I've also been using the elliptical at the gym. If I had my choice I would run intervals every day...but to add some variety and work different muscles, I also do the WW PointsPlus workout DVDs. - vernswifevickie  400.5 #563 5:27PM
I'm currently on a program designed by a personal trainer that includes running, strength building, and core work. BUT...the most important thing is to get active. If you are just getting back on track, find something that you enjoy (a favorite sport, dancing, pilates) and start with that. I love Jillian Michaels' DVDs, and the one I'm using currently (alternating with the Couch to 5 K plan) is her "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism" DVD. That one is tough, but I also like her "Ripped in 30" and "30 Day Shred"--with those you can start easier and work your way up to harder. Like mentioned above, if you enjoy it, you'll do it more often, so find what works for you. - GheeButtersnaps  377.6 #597 10:37PM
