πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - KAJi  333.2 #667 4:55PM
Give him a time out and tell him next time I'm just bringing the kids! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - MeridaFan  3510.6 #33 3:26PM
bhahahahahaha! Hubbys complain the most sometimes. - Duchess_SMK  5936.5 #14 3:27PM
Yeah, but I can handle him. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - MeridaFan  3510.6 #33 3:38PM
And I remind him how lucky he is to have me! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - MeridaFan  3510.6 #33 3:38PM
LOVE it!! Lucky, indeed!! - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  5186.2 #17 3:46PM
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - MrsSchnooks  3042.8 #39 3:46PM
I leave my hubby at home a lot because of his complaining lol! - DSNYCheeks3  866.1 #191 5:09PM
πŸ‘†All of the above! Mine can't handle more than 5 hrs. He was such a trooper on the 4th cuz he wanted to see fireworks so bad lol. - missariel33  1943.1 #72 6:45PM
That's why my husband doesn't have an ap or is allowed to go to disneyland with me. - maxinerenton  422.7 #471 2:14AM
He IS lucky Meridafan! I leave mine at work most trips. He's the reason we get to enjoy the parks though, so I guess I'll keep him. 😜 But he has about a 6 hour max at DL. - Duchess_SMK  5936.5 #14 8:32AM
Keep in mind the age of your kiddos...for the minis to toddler age, make sure you keep them hydrated and try doing indoor AC attratctions that allow them the opportunity to chill out and relax...be mindful of their reactions to weather...for the older set, it might be that they may not have done something they want to do...have a short talk of major things the kids in your group would like to do and make it a point to get to it during your trip...you know your kids best and be mindful of who they are and how they react to particular factors :-) - uscdisneyteacher  7333.5 #7 3:35PM
^ this!! - Bo22  387.1 #531 4:11PM
Same thing I do outside the park. - Mrs.mouse  517.2 #365 3:17PM
which is? :) - PinkTink88  25.1 #5936 3:17PM
On our last visit my youngest son (11) decided that the gravity in DL was stronger than DCA, because he feet hurt so bad in DL 😳 So instead if listening to reason "no, your feet hurt more in DL because we have been walking in DCA all day, and now we are in DL and your feet hurt". And as serious as he can be he says "no mom, it's not that way😑...I need an electric scooter to get back to the hotel" LOL!!! Gotta love the complainers 😊 - 2BeignetOrNot2Beignet  1111.0 #143 3:31PM
That's REALLY funny πŸ˜‚ gotta love kid logic! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  573.8 #320 3:33PM
Hahaha. Gotta love his logic! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - MeridaFan  3510.6 #33 3:39PM
This cracked me up LOL - missmimi90  1769.8 #78 4:13PM
Kid logic is the best! Priceless moment! Lol - lohofosho  784.5 #211 4:15PM
So true! I love 11.πŸ˜‚ - RadiatorSprings4Ever  1040.0 #158 6:32PM
He's so funny! On that same trip when we were walking from the Grand to Paradise Pier he says "I'm so tired! Can I take one of these taxis across the street to our hotel?" I kid you not, he was dead serious 😜 We leave tomorrow for 4 days at the parks...I'm mentally preparing myself for the moment when he starts in and I tell him that I'm going to push him in a stroller πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - 2BeignetOrNot2Beignet  1111.0 #143 10:58PM
It always makes me sad to see parents snapping at their kids for whining at Disney. I get how annoying whining is, trust me! but Disney is loud, hot and overstimulating and kids simply don't have the tools like adults to realize when they are overwhelmed. - tiggertwin  330.3 #680 6:25PM
I agree, you said it beautifully, thanks. - CabanaQueen  7.7 #11778 6:41PM
I work in behavior management and I see this type of thing on a daily basis. But its an easy skill to teach and to learn :) - tiggertwin  330.3 #680 6:44PM
I tell him I don't want to hear it. A lot of kids out there don't get to visit as often as he does and he needs to start being grateful. Also, if he keeps it up I won't buy him a thing. Or allow him to by himself anything as well. - Lelundrial  538.0 #347 3:24PM
I have the same approach. Lol. "No chimichanga for you little man!" Works all the time. - iheartDLR18  8.7 #10724 3:31PM
It's usually dehydration, coupled with lack of sleep and hunger. My husband usually tells me to sit down and have some water while he gets me a little snack with protein and some coffee. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  573.8 #320 3:29PM
ahahaha - vincentchase1  672.8 #256 3:38PM
leave them in the car. - vincentchase1  672.8 #256 3:43PM
Spoken like a true parentπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  5186.2 #17 3:48PM
Just crack the window. They'll be fine. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  573.8 #320 6:54PM
I can't understand my kids complaining while at Disneyland. We fly 14 hours to get them there and they complain?!?!?!?!?!? You're at Disneyland Kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol If one of ours is miserable, one of us parents walk them outside the park and sit outside the gates until their attitued improves. There is no bad attitudes allowed in Disney land lol - TrueFromOzLovesDisney  460.5 #424 4:43PM
We brought our cousins from Melbourne a few years ago (they were 3 and 5 at the time). They were so whiny! To be fair, it was June: hot, crowded, and they were jet lagged. We thought the trip was a huge failure, but their mom says they're always talking about their wonderful time at DL! Too funny what kids end up remembering. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  573.8 #320 6:58PM
Take them to Soak City with the green water and crappy diapers. - vincentchase1  672.8 #256 3:20PM
ROFLOL - DeadliestPassholder  209.1 #1797 3:23PM
Dude...yuck - missariel33  1943.1 #72 6:46PM
Tell tell them we are leaving. Complaining stops instantly!! - RCmom  5229.2 #16 3:24PM
First acknowledge their feelings then if it's fitting, maybe take a sitting down break and get something to drink in a cool area, slow down or shift what's going on. - Westcoast  128.3 #2948 3:39PM
...or pull something shiny out of your purse. - Westcoast  128.3 #2948 4:28PM
It is usually tired or hunger. Try giving them a snack. If that doesn't help try a nap in quiet place like Innoventions. If a lot of long lines that makes anyone cranky. Set your pace and expectations based in them and not you. If you have an AP an live close you should leave. We got as far as parking once. Turned around and left before the tram. He learned we meant business. - DLKenCA  2059.0 #63 3:39PM
Mine is 9 and that isn't why he is complaining. - Lelundrial  538.0 #347 5:05PM
I flat out tell them( boys 7&11) that they are in the parks for me. If we have to leave, I am going to be very cranky. πŸ˜ˆπŸ‘Ώ - RadiatorSprings4Ever  1040.0 #158 4:25PM
"Don't make mommy cranky!" πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  5186.2 #17 4:27PM
It's trueπŸ˜‚I am very blessed to have passes and be in such close proximity to the parks. Sadly, my kids take this privilege for granted. Of course 80% of the time is spent doing what they want to do. - RadiatorSprings4Ever  1040.0 #158 4:46PM
I agree with Mrs. Mouse! Consistency wins. - TangledsDad  239.7 #1391 3:18PM
I turn them and let them do what they want... Course they are 19 and 13. - LeftyLightning  388.7 #526 3:27PM
Bubble Machine. Splash in some Water. Videogames :-) - joxua  87.8 #3614 3:28PM
We have been taking our children every year since they were 18 months old. We always hit the park first thing in the morning and do Fantasyland rides over and over. They love it. Then we break for a snack and do more rides then we head back to hotel for a nap and a swim. Then go back for the evening. It works for us. - CabanaQueen  7.7 #11778 3:37PM
Since we usually stay on property, we head back to the room or go to the pool if the complaints are about lines, then go back at night. - BombFrogFormerCM  841.1 #195 3:44PM
Yes one of the benefits of staying at the one Disney Resort hotels. Also, dropping them off at Pinocchio's Workshop if they are 5-12. Don't try to stay all day. Get a break! - Midasgold  605.2 #298 4:12PM
We've never done the workshop as our son (age 7) is living with high functioning autism but its nice to observe him and his sister (age5) watch the vintage cartoons in the Grand's lobby. - BombFrogFormerCM  841.1 #195 5:51PM
I have a few old complainers. - Butterlina  1512.8 #95 3:46PM
My step son knows not to complain or he suffers my wrath. So... Yeah I don't have a ton of advice since threats seem to work (and keeping him hydrated) lol - missmimi90  1769.8 #78 4:17PM
What do we do about complaining MW'ers? - ShariRenee  5874.2 #15 4:20PM
Put them in the rock of shame - missmimi90  1769.8 #78 4:27PM
Destroy them. If we're in a good mood ;) πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - MissMolly  1281.0 #114 4:28PM
Flag, flag, flag! Report, report, report!!!! - MrsSchnooks  3042.8 #39 4:30PM
No missmimi!!! The rock of shame is too good for them! LOL Disney jail! - MrsSchnooks  3042.8 #39 4:31PM
LOL MrsSchnooks! They need a Disney jail for unruly children too - missmimi90  1769.8 #78 4:34PM
Maybe put them on IASW for an hour and then ban them from The Cove! - ShariRenee  5874.2 #15 4:48PM
Ok, ShariRenee is onto something here but I love IASW so I definately keeping the ban them from the Cove however... they have to watch all the fun from outside being handcuffed to Duffy!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - MrsSchnooks  3042.8 #39 5:05PM
^^With Merdiafan - Lelundrial  538.0 #347 5:06PM
Great idea MrsSchnooks! - ShariRenee  5874.2 #15 5:14PM
I've been taking my 4 year old since she was 18 months. Breaks, rides that are tailored to her, hydration and sometimes just flat out leaving. That's the beauty of an annual pass. - FIGJAMinWonderland  20.5 #6571 5:24PM
My kids whine and complain about something no matter what we do. I just tune them out and trudge on, and they soon forget--until the next complaint. When they get to full meltdown mode we know they are tired/overwhelmed and ready for a break and/or meal. - Diz_Mel  93.1 #3535 6:32PM
Disney dollar bribery. - cynDOLEwhip  1175.5 #129 12:21AM
I find I am the biggest whiner, but that was because I wanted to spend all our time at the park WITH the kids. As they got older, they didn't want to stick with old man and mom. I just kept the cash so we would at least have meals. - SorcererBHhaha  409.0 #494 12:32AM
Don't take their ungrateful butts next time. - MousekaNinja  422.3 #472 12:42AM
I keep reminding my son that I don't have to bring him with me. - Lelundrial  538.0 #347 7:31AM
I send the hubby to the ESPN Zone :) - disnut  27.6 #5681 8:25AM
As soon as they mention that their feet hurt and their tired, I say "ok, time to go home then" all of a sudden their feet stop hurting and their not tired enough to go on rides. I'm a mean Aunt cuz I would really take them home buahahahaha THERE'S NO COMPLAINING AT DISNEYLAND!!! - mini_MINNIE  1045.2 #157 8:56AM

CROWD PREDICTIONSpring Break is winding down as Disney reduces hours this week. The MouseWait Historical Crowd Index shows mid-70s for this week which seems about right. Crowds will be lighter than last week with Friday and Sunday being the busiest days. - Admin Apr 14, 2015 12:04PM

We have always noticed that Saturdays are better than Sundays! We always come on the weekend and say we want to leave at dinner time on Sunday, but always leave by 11-12 because there are so many people. We love Saturday!! - 1Princess3Princes  372.9 #559 5:39PM
I agree. I think it has to do with most passes being blocked - PoohSizedGuy  18.5 #6923 11:53PM
I love these posts!  I do have a question/request/suggestion...is there a way to only show the 3-4 most recent posts?  It's a lot to scroll through. @@Admin - TiggersAndTinks  122.1 #3052 5:08AM

http://cchealth.org/eh/retail-food/dog-law-faq.php Β  I know folks love theiri pets but I still do not think this is sanitary Β from a food perspective. See the url for CA law. Unless they provide a designated pet area outside, dogs cannot lick the plates/utensils, who cleans up after a dog accident......No pets in at a restaurant for now (service dogs are the exception). Disney is excellent with their food cleanliness in the parks per the Public health inspections. DTD does not fare as well per Retaurarant inspection. Check the Health Care Agency for the current restaurant inspections. As a Public health nurse I always check to see who is keeping clean in their kitchens.
