“THE LONE RANGER” Movie Premiere- Saturday, June 22, 2013- Hollywood Land, Disney California Adventure Park - MouseWait will be on the Red Carpet Press Line, follow our live coverage of here!
The world premiere of “The Lone Ranger” will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2013. This will be the first movie premiere in Disney California Adventure. The stars of the film will walk down the red carpet that will be set up starting at the Main Entrance Gate, down Buena Vista Street, around Carthay Circle and will eventually lead to the Hyperion Theater in Hollywood Land. This charity event will benefit the American Indian College Fund.
Park Hours: Disneyland: 8am-12am; DCA: 8am-10pm
Locations that will be closed all day: Red Car Trolley, Muppet Vision 3D (Will be closed on Friday, June 21- Monday, June 24)
Locations that will close at 2pm: Award Weiners, Schmoozies, Fairfax Market, Gone Hollywood, Monsters Inc- Mike & Sully to the Rescue, Hollywood Pictures Backlot
Locations that will close at 3pm: Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge
Locations that will close at 4pm: Off the Page, Animation Academy
Entertainment that will not be performing this day: Mad T Party, Red Car News Boys, Citizens of BVS, Five & Dime, Aladdin- a Musical Spectacular (The Hyperion Theater will be closed starting on Wednesday, June 18 and will re-open on Sunday, June 23.), Dancing with Disney, Pixar Play Parade
Photo Opportunities in Hollywood Land: The train used from the film will be on display starting on Tuesday, June 18 and will stay as a photo opportunity through July 10. It will be located near the entrance of the Mad T Party.
#Merchandise: “The Lone Ranger” merchandise will be available at Elias and Company on Buena Vista Street and Pioneer Mercantile in Frontierland.
Even though the premiere screening is a private event, those wanting to watch the stars walk down the red carpet, there will be very limited viewing areas down Buena Vista Street. Those wanting to get a spot are suggested to arrive early for the best viewing opportunities. Guests are allowed to line up started at 4am.
Guests attending the film premiere will start to arrive around 5pm. The film will start approximately around 7:30pm and will conclude around 10pm. After the film, these guests will enjoy Cars Land and a private showing of World of Color until 12am.

unFORECAST for the week of August 24, 2015 Summer is over, according to the Disneyland Resort calendar. Hours have been reduced for the first time since summer began (Disneyland & DCA closes at 10pm M-TH). Most Orange County schools are back in session today, which usually points to smaller crowds. Looking back at MouseWait's Historical Crowd Index (available in our new MagicPlan iOS Calendar), this week last year averaged in the low 60s (approx 60% capacity) -- it even dipped into the 50s on some days. This data points to lower crowds this week. If you've been waiting for the summer madness to end, this might be your week to hit the Parks! TOP 5 THINGS to do this week at the Disneyland Resort:
1. Watch the new "Paint the Night" parade 8:50 and 11pm nightly.
2. Watch the new "Disneyland Forever" Fireworks show at 9:30pm nightly.
3. See the new "World of Color" 9pm and 10:15pm nightly.
4. Try to find a "Made with Magic" wand or paintbrush which allow you to interact with select Disney experiences and merchandise.
5. Look for the Word of the Day displayed outside of the theme park entrances (or in the MouseWait Lounge) and text the word between 7am and 10:59am Pacific to the shortcode listed on the sign.
