Hi MWers. I have a few questions regarding the 24 hour party which I'm sure several of you can answer from Leap Day. I plan to get there around 2pm and stay until 6am. 1. Should I bring a change of clothes and or a blanket? 2. Where are good napping spots (just for like a ten minute cat nap), and is sleeping ok to do or will you be awoken), 3. At what time did the park die down for Leap Day?

We are so going to need a special MW section for this. πŸ˜‚ - Cinderella_Schnooks  3370.7 #42 10:15PM
Lol sorry to add to all of the posts on this event. - BrerRabbit  360.8 #642 10:36PM
Oh you're fine, but we are going to need a news section. It's becoming real! 😳😳😊😊 - Cinderella_Schnooks  3370.7 #42 10:41PM
I agree. Thanks! - BrerRabbit  360.8 #642 10:48PM
It didn't die down! Haha it just got increasingly more busy as the day/night progressed. It was pretty normal crowds all day, it at about dinner time it started to pick up and hit capacity well before midnight. Didn't really die down from there. I imagine the crowds will be even larger this time around, but both parks will be open all night this time so hopefully that will help a little bit - lohofosho  785.0 #235 10:00PM
Thanks! Bummer, I was hoping the park would be empty at 3am+. - BrerRabbit  360.8 #642 10:01PM
Might die down a little bit as I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) the grad night folks will be exiting at 3am. - lohofosho  785.0 #235 10:03PM
Also make sure you go straight to the lockers if you are bringing blankets/change of clothes as those will sell out fast - lohofosho  785.0 #235 10:01PM
A change of cloths is not necessary. But if it will make your visit more comfortable then go for it. The park started to die down around 3am but it was till quite busy. - Bambi.  605.0 #338 10:08PM
Just FYI: some parts of DCA will be closed for Grad Nite between the hours of 10pm-3am. - BaseballMickey_CM  7599.7 #11 10:13PM
As far as looking for a place to rest. The benches going up into toontown may be an option. We were rather dismayed on our last visit to see people sleeping on the benches. And they were there for a while snoozing. πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ™ˆ - eviljules  1404.0 #124 10:31PM
someone suggested in the mouth or the big toothy animal in front of Indy. If I was going, I would sneak down and sleep in the canoes!! who would notice?????:D - secretagentangel  4658.7 #28 10:34PM
Canoe believe the nerve of some people?! - Melody_CM  13474.2 #3 10:54PM
Do they let you bring in tents! What if they had one that folded up small enough to fit into a purse. That would be cool! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I want to see pics of people sleeping! In the weirder place, the better! - MeridaFan  4243.7 #34 10:56PM
When are we going to have a girls weekend and figure this stuff out ? LOL - Cinderella_Schnooks  3370.7 #42 11:06PM
I got a room at paradise pier hotel. It was sheer madness by 7pm. Remember part of DCA will be blocked off for the grads that night. And forget about the park winding down by 3 am. Bring a ton of patience. - PrincePhillip  203.8 #1954 11:01PM
i vaguely remember reading that people went to Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and slept there lol - treradical  126.2 #3096 11:04PM
Hahaha poor Mr. Lincoln - lohofosho  785.0 #235 11:05PM
i got there at 1:30am leap day and stayed until closing. right around 4-6 it slowed quite a bit. i parked in dtd and walked in with a bit of a line at bag check, lots of honeybadgers. got to see the sun rise and paid nothing for parking in dtd when leaving at 7am. - toph  2418.2 #60 11:25PM
It picks up in the evening, although it'll probably be crazier early on due to Grad Night. I was there about an hour after park opening, left around 4/4:30 in the afternoon to nap, came back around 8, took over an hour to park in Mickey and Friends, and finally walked into Disneyland after 9 p.m., stayed until the sunrise. I knew how cold it was going to be, so I changed into a warm coat, a beanie, a sweater and brought gloves. I ended up letting another MWer borrow my gloves because they underestimated how cold it was going to be. If you bring either a beanie, gloves, a scarf, or just a warm jacket for the EARLY morning hours, you should be fine. People tend to underestimate the temperature drop at night, especially with how cuckoo our weather has been as of late. Who knows though.. it may be warm since this year's 24 hour day is in late May and closer to June. - Jacqueline  580.0 #349 2:40AM
