Going to the parks for 3 days in May, and my wife and I are taking our son who will be turning 1 that same month. Anybody have any tips for going on rides and taking him on rides? Or any other helpful tips...

When he needs to take a nap, go on the train. I used to do this with my kids when they were little. And then you don't have to leave the park. Go around a couple of times and you can relax too. Enjoy! Make some Magical Memories! - Disneymother  225.3 #1661 11:03AM
Bring baby bjorn. It's easier to get on and off the rides if you have your hands free! - brodysmommy  430.9 #508 10:30PM
There are MUCH more comfortable options than a Bjorn, though- for both baby and wearer. Try an Ergo, Boba, Kinderpack or Tula, or a Mei Tai if you don't like buckles... - TickledTink  370.8 #22 12:01AM
Baby center on main street for all your lil ones needs...from padded changing stations to a kitchen and high chairs to feed your lil one....even private feeding rooms for mommy and baby and best of all its nice and quiet - socaldad85  106.6 #3489 11:32AM
There is also a baby center in DCA near the ghiradeli building - Twitterpated  273.0 #1138 1:08PM
I think start at Fantasyland . Enjoy your time : ) - jmza4  323.6 #31532 10:22PM
Agree! I just brought my 6 month old nephew and we rode everything in fantasyland except dumbo. Then pooh, then went to ca adventure for little mermaid. We were wiped out before we could make it to anything else. - missariel33  2115.5 #72 10:43PM
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh! And Small World. :) - Alicewhoareyou  2566.7 #53 10:31PM
Rider switch pass or parent switch pass whatever its called for the ones he cant get on - ScarfGirl  644.8 #312 10:35PM
Combine the fastpass with the rider switch. Worked great for us last week. We were on and off the big rides in no time. Hope you have a great time. - TwinkleJenn  103.5 #3541 10:38PM
I didn't know about the rider switch pass. How do they work? Where do you get them? My child is finally tall enough but still not brave enough for the big rides. - Twitterpated  273.0 #1138 10:59PM
Talk to a CM at the beginning of each line you would want a rider switch on. Basically one parent/guardian gets the rider switch voucher and stays with the child outside while the others wait in line. When they are finished the one with the voucher goes in the exit and can take one other with them while the rest of the group then watches the child. - friendlymouse  727.9 #266 12:06AM
It necessarily up the exit. At Indy you would go back through the fast pass line with the rider switch pass. Any ride that has a height requirement should offer the rider switch option. Make sure you ask the CMs and read the pass to make it easier on you and them! - IDVandalSkipperCM  2417.2 #61 4:21AM
Also to note, you cannot bring a stroller into the single rider line for RSR. Saw some lady try that last week. The CM told her she couldn't get in the line with the stroller. She was trying to get that rider switch pass, even though her husband wasn't with her. - Lelundrial  656.4 #304 11:01AM
Thank you everyone for the info! You guys are awesome - Twitterpated  273.0 #1138 1:15PM
we went when my son had just turned 1, he really loved the character meet and greets and POTC was his favorite - TickledTink  370.8 #22 12:04AM
Thanks for all the tips. I also read that if your child is sleeping you can go to the disabled line? Is this true? - Jaisen702  37.8 #5340 10:51AM
I have never heard that. I would think that isn't true though since you need to have a special pass for the disabled line. Plus on some attractions the line for the disabled can be longer than the fast pass and the standard line. - perrylover25  165.1 #2496 11:09AM
Hey We Are Going May 10, 11 & 12! When Are You Going? - LennaH  159.7 #2571 10:53AM
@perrylover25 - I read that on Mouseplanet I think. @LennaH - we are trying to go may 11, 12, and 13. It all depends on how much vacation time my wife can accumulate from now till then. It may be June when we go. - Jaisen702  37.8 #5340 11:55AM
