Good Morning. My baby boy just turned two months and I was wondering when is a good time to take him to the parks? Is two months to young? Thanks :)
He is so cute! And no it's not too early! We had out daughter there at 6 weeks! The Baby Care Center was a great place to rest too! Go and enjoy the day just watch his needs and yours (drink lots of water) and it will be a great day! - waltfan

Where is the baby care center at? - patriciajz 329.0 #477 7:36AM
In DL, at the end of Main Street, on the right, just before you get to Plaza Inn, and near the CornDog truck. In DCA, next to Ghirardelli. Enjoy! - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1798.1 #42 7:40AM
Those "mommas" in the Baby Care Center will take good care of you! - waltfan 191.4 #1728 10:31AM
If you take him at this age the trip will be more for you than him, but who cares? You will have fun, and you will have cute pics of your son to look at as he grows up. I don't know much about age and health safety, so maybe ask your doctor to make sure it is healthy to bring him at two months. - madsdad

I agree 100%. I'm not a fan of bringing newborns to someplace as busy as DL, but a few months old, (and if you feel the need to confirm with your Pediatrician, and you're given the ok), then go for it! - DisneyFanZoe 1096.7 #75 12:01PM
I waited until he was 1 and half and totally wish I didn't wait so long. He will get fascinated with everything. Go! You'll enjoy the experience - MarshaMouse

I know a couple of CMs who have taken their little ones at 3 weeks. I'm hoping to take my little one when she's 6-7 weeks! - IDVandalSkipperCM

I first took my son when he was 3 months old. I'm sure I would have taken him earlier if it wasn't a 7 hour drive to get there. - SneakyStella 292.9 #656 8:28AM
Whatever you feel most comfortable with is the right time. If you want to take him I say go for it but if you're uncomfortable with the idea I would wait. - aidensmama

Heck, we have home video of my parents taking me when I was 4 weeks old (don't ask why, I still don't know) and my face was like O_O o.0 :O so I seemed to enjoy it well enough... It's never too early! - JRDrummer_CM

I suggest taking him when he's two years old. At that age he can walk and talk and interact with the characters, and he has the ability to recognize and remember where he is and what he's seen. We took my niece for her first trip on her second birthday, she had seen Sleeping Beauty's castle in videos before, and when we stepped onto Main St. and she caught sight of the castle for the first time...her face lit up like I've never seen. It was a wonderful moment. Then she yelled out, "Mickey's castle!" 😄 - NotNKansasAnymor

Agreed. 2 is perfect. I keep trying to take my youngest and she just wants to run off and get lost in the crowds, doesn't really like the rides and just doesn't really "get" it yet. Took my oldest at 2 and she was in heaven!! - MissMolly 693.3 #143 11:59AM
My mini was 2 when he first went as well. He didn't really even remember much from going at that age but he definitely enjoyed it at the time. - aidensmama 336.4 #445 12:04PM
True every kid is different, some will remember, others won't. A couple of months after my niece's first trip, her parents were dropping a friend off at the airport and she saw banners advertising Mickey as the Grand Marshall of that years Rose Parade...she thought they were at the parking structure and on their way to "Mickey's castle" again. She was two! Lol, love that kid. - NotNKansasAnymor 174.2 #1940 12:16PM
