Good morning! This day in Disney history, March 20th, 1942. "Symphony Hour" directed by Riley Thompson is released.
Mickey leads a radio orchestra who performs the overture to "Light Cavalry" (by Franz von Suppé). The sponsor Mr. Macaroni (played by Pegleg Pete) loves the rehearsal. But before the actual performance, Goofy drops all the instruments under an elevator, & they sound like toys. Sylvester Macaroni hates it, but the audience loves it anyway. Oh this one made me laugh!! 😂😂. Favorite part, after all the instruments are smashed under the elevator, Goofy picks up the flat, flimsy violin and says his classic "garsh!" Thank you SMK for brightening my day!!! - MyPark

I don't think I was damaged by the cartoons and other films(Song of the South) that I watched growing up that now seem to require a expiation of watching it in the times that it was made.
