Pack an extra suitcase for all the stuff you are going to buy. Pace yourself, consider just doing one park per day, then taking the last day to go back to your favorite, or the one you felt needed more time. It's a lot more time consuming to park-hop or go back to your room, even if you're staying on property, so plan to be there most, if not all day. Take advantage of extra magic hours if you are a resort guest. - bluefairy

Yes, good idea. We ended up buying a $50 duffel bag in DTD to get all our goodies home when we went. - HalfCaff 66.6 #3457 7:43PM
I shipped a portion of my things home to avoid that. - Lelundrial 339.6 #430 8:01PM
You can also pack some flat rate boxes, packing tape, and prepaid labels. Stuff those boxes! If buying gifts, you can ship them directly to your friends/family. Oh! If you need something while on the trip, and have amazon prime, ship stuff to your hotel in two days for free! I needed more camera memory, had my brother order it, and picked it up when I checked in. Would be great for bulky items you don't want to pack and last minute things you don't have time to pick up. π - bluefairy 627.0 #174 8:14PM

I agree definatley make food reservations. I think we ate dinner almost every night at epcot because the food there is amazing! Also WDW is huge and don't think your going to get everything done so dont rush, tske your time. When I went we went to one park each day. We took our time and enjoyed every minute of it. Your going to have a great time!!! - MelB

Ohana at the Polynesian Resort is a really fun restaurant. If you want to enjoy the Fireworks from the Magic Kingdom, try and get a reservation coinciding with the fireworks time and ask to sit by the lake windows. They dim the lights and play the music for your enjoyment. - MennisDiller

We are doing a very similar trip in January!! Have a blast! - lohofosho 269.2 #829 8:02PM
Must get a butterbeer. Also a warning, if you or anyone in your group can't handle the teacups. Stay off the Forbidden Journey ride. It is free moving, so a different experience from Star Tours. - Lelundrial 339.6 #430 8:02PM
youre so lucky wdw and harry potter! have a blast - lorelaismom 4.2 #12621 8:18PM
I only got to go for a out 4 hours, but I packed a lot in! The lines for rides were all 30 minutes or less, so unless it's really busy, front of line is not necessary, plus the queues are a must-see, at least the two I went on. The stores have a 10% AAA discount, btw! The day I went, I not only took advantage of that, but they had a $10 giftcard with $50 purchase deal, so I spent about $100 and got $20 in free giftcards! π - bluefairy 627.0 #174 8:19PM
do you have an AP? Wouldn't Premier be a cheaper route? - toph 2398.1 #25 11:29AM
If you can handle it I would recommend NOT MISSING the Forbidden Journey ride at Wizarding World. Take Dramamine or something! Also don't miss the safari ride at Animal Kingdom. - MrsFletch

agree with kilimanjaro safari! and if you have it in your budget their is a tour prior to park opening and you can feed the animals and i was told lunch included. - toph 2398.1 #25 11:31AM
Ditto! If you're really concerned about getting sick, save it for last, but do it once for the experience. - bluefairy 627.0 #174 4:44PM
My family went last year for the first time and I found a great website with weekly emails that we got great tips from. AllEars.com also make sure to download the FL Mousewait. We used it the whole trip for wait times and other great info. Have a fantastic time! It is an awesome trip! - MyHeartbelongstoBeast

Plan extra time getting to and from the parks, especially for MK. Also, I highly recommend the Finding Nemo show at AK and the fish and chips in Britain at Epcot. Have fun! - BaseballMickey_CM

Pack a lot of patience and lots of water. It'll be crowed and extremely hot. Buy one of those water bottle fans, they're expensive but you will love your life. Also, spend a day at Typhoon Lagoon. It's the BEST water park EVER. I could spend my whole vacation there. :) - Nyghtngale
