Laid up in first aid with a sprained ankle, from getting off pirates! It hurts SO bad!! 😞
RICE is the treatment: Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. Rest for 1-2 days, ice for 20 minute intervals every 4 hours, compression with an ace wrap, and elevate the ankle above the level of the heart. - DisneyDavidEMT

In response to the comments about medications...yes, Ibuprofen is the best thing to take. Since I didn't do a Trauma Assessment on SIC, I am hesitant to recommend medications without knowing medical history. BUT, if you do take ibuprofen, please make sure remember to not take more of this medication than is recommended. An overdose of ibuprofen can cause damage to your stomach or intestines. Wow, I didn't expect this on here. Just for the record, I have taken no offense to anything anyone has said on this post. As far as I see it, everyone is tossing in their two cents just trying to help and it's all out of care and concern, and as someone who is laid up in pain, I am greatful for each and every comment! As I have said over and over here and to others who have DM'ed me, I greatly appreciate all advice given. I can promise you that nothing was said out of anything but helpfulness. DD, I think you were a little too sensitive about that fact that you posted about Advil earlier. But I think it was mistaken to assume David had any ill intent in his follow up comments to me. And I would also appreciate if you would not involve me in those kinds of comments, suggesting that maybe I took any offense to it. Thanks again everyone! Swelling has gone down, and on my 2nd wheelchair ride out (after resting in first aid) it didn't hurt to rest it on the foot rest anymore. She said it looks like ice and rest will do the trick. - Sweet_Irish_Cream

You almost can't tell the difference between my two ankles anymore and there is almost no bruising at all (I can't tell but Ng husband says he sees a little.) it's still sore but seems to being well. I slipped getting of POC also back 2011 it didn't hurt to bad at first. It was our last night there and we drive home (NorCal) and by that night my ankle was killing me well, I went to my DR. and unfortunately I messed up an old ankle/tendon problem and I was basically of my on bed rest for a week and then a boot for 6 weeks... Hopefully yours doesn't turn out this way. Hope it heals quickly. - dadcanevari
