Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Review and Warning—A little long, but worth it for first timers: Took my 5 year old for her birthday and overall she had a great time and it’s a wonderful magical experience. We did the Crown Package/Fairytale Princess hair style which includes a tiara, 2 bottles of nail polish, a makeup kit with 12 colors, a Mickey hair clip, assorted face jewels, a princess sash and a princess cinch bag to bring home all of the above and a sprinkling of fairy dust on top. The details in the room are wonderful, the Fairy Godmothers ‘in training’ were really nice and they go above and beyond to make your child feel special. As this will most likely be a first time experience for many children, I have Two warnings they don’t tell you prior to the experience: 1) The plastic mask they use to cover their face from hairspray and fairy dust might freak them out and 2) They make the bun very tight and then add hairspray which can tighten the bun so much that it can cause major discomfort. About an hour after the BBB, we got to the front of the line in the Royal Hall and my daughter just started to cry uncontrollably. Turns out that warning #2 came true. We had to leave the Royal Hall…and initially she just wanted to go home. We went back into the boutique and they said it sometimes happens. They loosened the bun and let some hair down and my daughter returned back to normal. On a side note: we went back to the AP event and explained what happened and they let her go back in so that she could get pictures with the Princesses. With those two warnings in mind, I think every little girl should have this experience once.

I'm glad I have boys. Just give them rocks and a stick and they're happy. Seriously - philliprocks  1319.2 #132 5:57PM
And a Blu-Ray copy of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit!" 😂 - DisneyDavidEMT  2628.7 #50 11:58PM
😂😂😂 my daughter does enjoy empty boxes too! - MeridaFan  4243.7 #34 10:41AM
Probably depends on the child, too. We didn't have a problem with that plastic shield. The tiaras do get heavy and annoying to wear, too. We just took the tiara off. Actually, she had two of them on! The Merida one, plus a small generic one behind that. So we removed the Merida one after a little while. She was good after that, but definitely wanted her hair down before we went for dinner that night. Which was fine. It isn't always comfortable to be a beautiful princess! But gosh darn, somebody's got to do it! - MeridaFan  4243.7 #34 10:45AM

My daughter has a sensitive scalp so I've always wondered about this. Thanks for the info! - happiestplace  275.5 #1105 12:54PM
As long as you let them know ahead of time, I'm sure they can do something. It was really a fun and unique experience for her. - MennisDiller  766.2 #246 1:12PM
My daughter has a sensitive scalp too and she had no problem with the bun. She even asked to sleep in it so she could wear it to school the next day. It held perfectly :) - Nicole  380.2 #590 10:17AM
At first I thought that Phillip but there's something about having a daddy's girl that makes it all worth it. - MennisDiller  766.2 #246 11:55PM
I wondered if the dresses in the boutique are the same ones u can get at Disney store? - TheBearandtheBow  72.4 #4108 10:12AM
They are slightly different. Neither is better I'd say but they do vary slightly. - Nicole  380.2 #590 10:15AM
Thank you so much for the review! I want my 5yr old to do this but I'm not thrilled with the hairstyle choices. I know she won't like the tight bun thing and I don't think she will like that clip with the hair on it. I wish they would just curl their own hair. - KyandGaMom  209.5 #1882 10:20AM
I agree...my 5 year old has a super sensitive head. She'd scream bloody murder if they tried that tight bun! ;) - MissMolly  1355.3 #129 10:43AM
My daughter screams all the time when I brush her hair, even now at 7 years old. She did this when she was 4 and had no problems. The FGIT are really good with the girls and it's such a magical experience, they forget about their hair being pulled up. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  690.8 #286 10:59AM
