Wow! 1953!! Cool! I love researching stuff but I felt at a dead end because I didn't know what else I could possibly Google -And missing a large portion of it made it nearly impossible. thank you again so much for your help - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1841.5 #43 5:56PM

I was going to ask you if you picked this tin up at a thrift store. Another great find. - RadiatorSprings4Ever 167.0 #2091 7:16PM
Is it a tray? Or is it flat? It looks like it bends in the middle, which makes me think of the theater sets I had as a kid - the back would bend to make a stage background. - Gia

It has the 2 creases (see 'em?)that can bend so it could stand up, but it is flat, with curled edges. - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1841.5 #43 5:21PM
I kind of always thought that it could be a backdrop or magnet figures could play on it- But there are hardly any scratches on it - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1841.5 #43 5:23PM
I'm think a back drop...maybe for small characters or puppets. - Gia 794.2 #122 5:30PM
