Good afternoon my MW fam! I need some advice :-) going to Disneyland with my 4 mo. Old in 16 days!!! Any advice? Also did I bring your own strollers? I've heard they get stolen? First time mommy! Thanks all in advance :-)

No one wants my ghetto hooptie double wide stroller! ;o) Enjoy your visit! - MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz  922.2 #94 4:42PM
My sister in law always takes her stroller and has never had an issue! She usually ties some brightly colored ribbon to the handle so that she can easily find hers in a crowd when we are done with a ride. - Belleslibrary  228.0 #1271 4:07PM
My friends video camera got stolen... just don't leave any valuables. - HiddenMickeyFanatic  263.1 #887 8:51PM
My family has brought a stroller when we go and have never had a problem with it getting stolen. I would recommend just not leaving anything valuable with the stroller when you go on a ride. Also take advantage of the child swap - rachelelizabeth  146.6 #2335 3:23PM
Child swap? I have a very tempestuous 5 year old....how do I swap her out? - MennisDiller  359.1 #390 3:27PM
I've always brought my own stroller and never had a problem, just keep your diaper bag/purse with you. I usually don't even do that (I know, I know) but if you're worried about it. Bring lots of water and snacks. There's great mothers stations in Disneyland and DCA (I think there's one in DCA...) where you can change/nurse/warm up your bottles. Have fun!! - erincredible  199.6 #1637 3:25PM
In DCA it is next to Ghirardelli - Mikeymedic  232.5 #1204 4:33PM
We started going when my son was 2.5 months and never had a problem with our stroller and we'd leave things like jackets and cups but always take our backpack/diaper bag with wallets and important things. We also wore the baby while in line so it was easier on the back. I wouldn't worry about the stroller because we have never ever had a problem. - frankysmommy  15.2 #5634 3:26PM
We bring our own stroller as well. More comfortable for the kids and we've never had any issues. The switch pass is great so that the both of you can go on the E-Ticket rides without having to wait in line twice. If your child needs a nap during the day, The Mad T-Party area in DCA is nice and quiet. Have a great time and don't forget your camera. - MennisDiller  359.1 #390 3:32PM
If you bring your stroller ensure it has some distinguishing features on it. That way you are less likely to have someone take yours by mistake (which I think happens more than stealing). I wouldn't bring a stroller that is really expensive and anything you do leave in it make sure it is secured so they actually have to work to walk away with it. Most thefts are acts of opportunity. They don't want to take a stroller that could be easily identified or take things that they will have to work at to free. - AKMouse  376.5 #364 3:32PM
We always take our stroller and had never had a problem. I love the mothers room by the corn dog cart on Mainstreet. It's a nice quiet place to nurse/feed the baby, change diapers, ect and they even have some baby supplies in case of emergencies! - CinderellasMommy21  216.7 #1395 3:34PM
Bring snacks and ye something bright to distinguish your stroller. Sometimes they are moved by cast members as other strollers move out to maintain - magicqueendom  231.6 #1218 4:19PM
We always take our stroller and leave it for hours at a time alone - Philliprocks  276.1 #763 4:39PM
I have never had a problem taking my stroller. Sometimes cast members move or rearrange them. - MonLuvsDisney  157.5 #2183 5:08PM
Thank you all for the great advice! I Feel much better about the stroller issue!!! 😀 I am so excited!!!! Though driving from SF to LA will def be challenging but all worth it! - littlemermaid12  125.5 #2638 7:24PM
I know the SF to DL trip well. The time you leave at makes a big difference. Have a great trip! - NikkiMickey  1583.6 #48 7:51PM
We drove from SF to DL when my youngest was 5 months old (older ones were 2 & 4). We were lucky, the baby slept most of the drive. Made quick stops every 2.5-3hr for nursing and diaper checks. Actually "wore" the baby in the carrier most of the day and the older ones were in strollers (no thefts!). I hope you guys have a great time!! - HNL2SFO  205.0 #1553 9:36PM
Never had a problem with our stroller. Have fun! - LaPearleNoir  572.9 #191 7:37PM
Best advice I can give is pack for hot and cold weather, we're in Cali here, anything can happen. I went last July with my then 4 mo old, bring your own stroller! If you have a jogging stroller those are the best! Babies r us has little fans that you can hook to the stroller( LIFE SAVER!!!)As well as UV shades that go over the front, Lots of diapers! 4 mo olds LOVE to eat and poop when you're far from the nursing station! We took our son on small world, and one of the bugs land rides ( the one that goes up and down in trash containers lol) and Tiki room! And bring socks! Their little feet hang out and are exposed to the sun. Phew! I hope I covered everything sorry if I rambled : / - teddysmommy  5.2 #10193 7:45PM
Thank you I m going to go buy a fan tomorrow never thought of that! - littlemermaid12  125.5 #2638 11:46PM
Been going with the kids since 2005 and never had a problem with the stroller. We keep all valuables in my bag that goes with and only leave the non-valuables on the stroller when we park it. I always have a ring sling for lines and attractions. I could easily slip the material out from under their bottom to put them on my lap on things you can't wear them in. They could nap in the sling and I could still go on things while they slept. The baby rooms in both parks areas are nice. Smallest changing tables are in Toon Town, one of the roomiest is the bathroom hiding by Autopia by the train station. - Autoalice  135.7 #2509 7:53PM
I have always used my personal strollers throughout the years for my three kids and I never had a problem losing any of them. I've left them with diaper bags, blankets, jackets and backpacks. Everything would still be there when we would get back. We sometimes would leave it in one land and go to another land for a couple of hours. The only things we wouldn't leave were our water bottles or souvenirs. The strollers they have for rent seem too uncomfortable for naps and I think that stroller gets lost easier. Just make sure you park it at the area designated for strollers so it doesn't get moved around. Oh and leave the brakes on. - Witchie77  265.2 #868 7:54PM
I have never had a problem with my stroller. Just don't forget where you park it. :) - deppfan  7.1 #8115 8:18PM
Hi, I've taken my children, now 6 and 4 since the oldest was 3 (did his birthday there). Never had any stroller (pretty nice ones) taken and we go at least 12 days a year from the Bay Area. You should have no problems, enjoy your trip! - martini8668-cm  36.0 #4129 8:49PM
I always take my own stroller! Last time I even got brave enough to take my Bob and I have NEVER had a problem! Even with bags of souvenirs in it, no problems :) - brittandkell  288.0 #679 9:04PM
Bob! Lol I leave my Bob in the drawer! - Katrayher  739.0 #138 9:10PM
Brought our 3 month old in May last year. It was a great experience. The mother's room is the best place to take a break and get your little one in a quiet place. Don't be afraid to take your little one on the rides that don't have height requirements-my little one loved it's a small world, mark twain, little mermaid, Peter Pan. If you have a snugli bring it to give your little one a stroller break. Bring an umbrella - it was great as a sun shade. We invested in toddler ear protection which was awesome and kept our little one calm-he slept through fireworks and potc with them on (peltor junior ear muffs is the brand we bought). As far as the stroller ours was distinct and was stolen but was stolen from Downtown Disney not in the parks so make sure if you go for dinner down there that you are careful. Also, if you have a car seat attachment do not leave the car seat with it-makes it more valuable. Hope any of my advice helps-I was nervous my first time taking baby but I would do it all again (minus stroller stolen). Hope you have a magical time and a great experience! - missyandpaul  255.7 #949 9:15PM
yes, bring your own stroller so your baby can sleep comfortably if need be. Buy a lock for the stroller if you are afraid of it getting stolen. the baby center at DL and DCA are both awesome, they will serve all your baby's needs. TIP: there are usually long lines at the baby centers after parades...so go before if you can. enjoy, take lots of pics. - MrMom626  1506.8 #50 9:28PM
We always take our own stroller! My oldest child is now 16, and we still have little ones. We have literally been to Disneyland hundreds of times over the years, and never had a problem. Last week I accidentally left my camera hanging on my stroller while going on pirates. I didn't realize it until we got back to the stroller, and there it was hanging! - 7mouskedoodles  161.1 #2138 12:07AM
Please be mindful of ladies in flip flops ... I got my toes run over a few times today with some moms on the move 😵 - MaliceInWonderland  23.4 #4782 12:09AM
Another plus for bringing your own stroller-- you won't have to wake baby to return the stroller. - HNL2SFO  205.0 #1553 10:33AM
Honestly the only strollers I've ever had stolen were the ones I rented from the park. It usually happened at night . But I learned after the first time to keep my receipt in my wallet and not in the stroller and it was always replaced free of charge. We buy a Mickey balloon and tie it to the stroller so it's easier to identify as ours . When my kids were very little I always took my own stroller cuz I'm a germ a phob , and no one ever messed with it . - eviljules  281.2 #722 10:54AM
Was there to celebrate my daughters 1st birthday, someone stole her mcclaren trimuph stroller with her happy first birthday Disney pin on the front seat. Nothing at all in the stroller of value- water bottle and nursing cape. We went back four times to Mater ride to see if someone put it back throughout the night but there was just the same cheap umbrella stroller left in the place of ours. I guess some felt they should trade up. The Disney staff kept telling me how nice I was being that usually people yell at them. I said it wasn't their fault but because it was my daughters first birthday- I just wanted to cry. It was also parked right next to the entrance where it was supposed to be. So sad. I think I was more upset about the fact someone stole it than it was actually gone. I mean, it had her birthday pin with her name on the front, my sons name written on the top of the canopy and a nursing cape layed into the fold of the canopy. The staff kept telling me , maybe someone mistook it. Hahaa! They knew what they were doing. At least they were kind enough to leave behind their stroller for us. Kids were happy but ruined the night for my husband and me. We have been pass holders for three years- we were always aware this could happen but always had positive experiences. Cast members were very helpful and sweet though. - Ihavedisneykids  3.0 #32511 8:40AM
