I watched Pocahontas II last night to kill time before class & it got me thinking how much I dislike most Disney sequels. So my question is what's your favorite Disney sequel & what sequel should not have been even made? My favorite Disney sequel is either brother bear 2 or Bambi 2.

the little mermaid trilogy is great. the 3rd one is often overlooked, but gives a lot of back story on why triton hates humans. - chris.

Walt Disney would never have allowed sequels to be made! In fact, he never wanted anyone to own his movies (like us)....that being said, the Peter Pan sequel doesn't offend me too much - MissMolly

I heard a rumor years ago... And it makes sense to me... But maybe someone knows better and can correct me. That because some of the movies were getting so old they were going to become public domain... Unless they make sequels. It would keep the copyrights. So thats whythey make low budget sequels. Again... Don't remember where I heard that or even if its true. But I tell myself this a lot. 😊 - joybells

As far as I know movies cannot become public domain, because of copyright laws. Characters in certain stories are public domain, ie Santa Claus. When a movie uses a clip of even an old movie, they have to get permission to use the clip. - Lelundrial 341.2 #429 11:34AM

I watched Pocahontas II the other day as well... I think my main problem with it was that it didn't have the same look or sound as the original. As for sequels... I love all the Tinker Bell movies - KylaShea
