This is interesting. Disney plans to institute a stroller ban in Fantasy Faire, citing space constraints. The exception will be: if the child is asleep in the stroller when the guests enter the Faire, they will be allowed to proceed. Wheelchairs and motorized assistance vehicles will also be permitted.

This makes sense to me. In such a small area, a ton of strollers will very quickly clog that area and make getting around very difficult. This should help with the flow of guests. And parents that are upset, shouldn't be. Having a stroller doesn't entitle you. - DisneyFanZoe  1096.8 #75 9:44AM
Very true. when I don't have my stroller I still feel entitled. - madsdad  1128.7 #72 9:45AM
Ha!! And just a note, I'm a parent, I used a stroller and I stand by what I said. 😊 - DisneyFanZoe  1096.8 #75 9:47AM
Me too. 100% agree! - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  324.0 #506 11:09AM
Totally makes sense in a small area. I hope they have ample space outside it for stroller parking, though, without clogging walkways. - meridafan  1036.5 #83 11:36AM
Definitely agree! We use an umbrella stroller sometimes but it's easier to park it and walk around Fantasyland without it. - kss4tink  216.8 #1397 1:39PM
Oh heck no! I'm bringing my stroller! With my 8yo toddler! - Katrayher  739.0 #138 1:23PM
If they're concerned about wait times and crowding there, they should just ban Fredo, I hear he holds up the lines talking to his women. Much simpler (face for sarcasm) - shadowgamer  1954.3 #37 11:16AM
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - Villescas8(V8)  589.1 #185 11:20AM
Lol it is true I do talk to them a lot and try to do different poses each time. - HanLostLeia  1092.6 #76 1:38PM
Putting out there now: THANK YOU to all the CM's that will need to smile and politely ask that guests with strollers leave the strollers outside. THANK YOU to all the guests with strollers following a policy without causing a scene and being disruptive. - aprilinjune4  380.8 #355 2:18PM
They should ban strollers at Disneyland!!! LMBO! Jk! - Armenda  994.6 #89 6:54AM
LoL. Remember the great debate on banning double wide strollers? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - KermitFan13  407.7 #322 7:00AM

Oh goodness Kermit!! Lol - Armenda  994.6 #89 7:05AM
I thought you had a magic switching picture. One where Sully changed sides and your shirt changed color. I was amazed, then I realized it was two different people!! I only wondered a little bit why you were maintaining a convo with yourself lol - jamielynn  138.6 #2464 9:32AM
😳😳😳😳KermitFan13 Oh yes, the stroller war of 1812. Quite a ruckus! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ - MrsSchnooks  574.5 #191 9:42AM
nothing worse than a stroller to the shin...or the dreaded back of the heel "flat tire" - missariel33  110.5 #2897 11:16AM
Kidding btw ;) - missariel33  110.5 #2897 11:17AM
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, Jamielynn. - meridafan  1036.5 #83 11:38AM
Its not the strollers fault its the drivers πŸ˜œπŸ‘ - DisneyMe2Death  607.0 #180 2:10PM
suuuureeee.... blame the drivers! - Armenda  994.6 #89 4:36PM
maybe when a child is asleep, parents can rest too and sit down somewhere until they are refreshed and visit fantasy fair when the kid is awake, still keeping it stroller free. - mochamistie  272.8 #803 9:46AM
'Refreshed' ...love that word. Good idea - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1799.3 #42 9:48AM
After seeing the area, its a good idea - BaseballMickey_CM  2859.4 #16 9:44AM
Also, parking for strollers will be near Westward Ho or right outside Fantasy Faire - BaseballMickey_CM  2859.4 #16 9:44AM
Agreed! - iPoca.  905.8 #96 12:28PM
Then the choir of angels sang... πŸ‘ΌπŸ‘ΌπŸ‘Ό for no ankles shall be ran into in that particular area. - Waites4DodgerEars  659.9 #158 10:32AM

I think it's like taking strollers in a queue, there just isn't enough room - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1799.3 #42 9:49AM
Right. Makes sense! - meridafan  1036.5 #83 11:39AM
Just carry your kid in a papoose, problem solved. This also negates stroller bite and theft from unattended strollers. - shadowgamer  1954.3 #37 10:18AM
Yeah I can totally see someone carrying a 2,3,or4 year old in one πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - Villescas8(V8)  589.1 #185 10:23AM
pic or it didn't happen ;) - ShariRenee  1560.1 #50 10:27AM
OMG, trying to strap Strawbaby into a papoose would be an experiment in itself. Haha! I don't have kids but I know it's impossible to get a kid over like, 6 months to stay in those things. They want to be involved and free. - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #108 10:51AM
Honestly I just wanted to use the word papoose. But can you guys imagine the stroller bite in that small area? Ouch! - shadowgamer  1954.3 #37 11:20AM
*ducking*. Or maybe don't visit this attraction with your child until your child is older? Lil One LOVES Princesses but we have never met the Princesses over by the theatre because of the long wait that she just can not do. We probably won't visit this attraction for a long time either :-( I think 45 mins is her max before a meltdown. Hopefully you will be able to walk around the exterior, I'm dying to check it out. - PrincessDuckie  588.1 #187 11:03AM
I was just thinking this MSG, I'm kinda scared! - ShariRenee  1560.1 #50 11:17AM
When we are down next month we plan on spending much time at the fantasy fairie and I'm good to carry lil duckie for ya.:) - madsdad  1128.7 #72 11:18AM
It's because trolls sleep in - MissMolly  697.6 #141 11:42AM
I'm upset and I'm throwing tomatoes at everyone! πŸ… - Philliprocks  276.6 #763 11:57AM
Thanks Nick, if we were able to go during your visit I would probably take you up on your offer! I really really want to visit this new area. :-) - PrincessDuckie  588.1 #187 1:08PM
What?!!! This is entirely unacceptable!! How dare they! I guess if they won't allow my stroller then they don't want my business!!! I am now an forever boycotting all things Disney! I will be posting slander all over every website I can find! I will be destroying ever Disney thing in my home and never ever watching anything affiliated with Disney EVER again! They have lost my business FOREVER! An I will make sure everyone I know follows! - Deltachiq  969.0 #90 11:48AM
Um, for real? o_O? - Nyghtngale  547.8 #204 8:49PM
they should ban strollers period, I'm tired of Stroller Gangs causing problem through out the parks like a bunch Hoodlums. - vincentchase  642.1 #169 12:17PM
Me am the Stroller Crew are personally offended by this statement and will be sure to hit your ankles next time we see you! - Deltachiq  969.0 #90 12:32PM
this is why I don't like you lol - vincentchase  642.1 #169 1:27PM
Strollers are a pain, literally. I have so many bruises from them. It's amazing how many people try to get them in the lines. I am for banning them especially the doubles. - Winnie111286  288.8 #675 1:19PM
I don't have a problem with strollers. It's the size of some of them that can get ridiculous sometimes - BillE  340.7 #430 2:29PM
On our visit to WDW 3 weeks ago we loved that they had designated stroller parking by the carousel and asked to park stroller while visiting Fantasyland attractions. This helped a lot with the stroller congestion in front of attractions, especially with the construction still going on. There were always cast members present to tell us where to park our stroller at every park. kudos to the cast members who are always having to rearange and move strollers. I feel the exception should be infants or those under 1. It will be interesting to hear what they do. - McQueenGal  255.6 #950 5:03PM
Thinking about it now, when we were at WDW last. I don't recall having to jump around a bunch of strollers there. They were present of course, but didn't seem as much. This is most likely why. - Lelundrial  341.2 #429 5:32PM
Any idea where they will set up the stroller parking area? - LaPearleNoir  573.8 #192 6:08AM
Near bippity bobbidi bouquet - RadioMaverick  529.8 #216 6:16AM
Thanks. - LaPearleNoir  573.8 #192 6:40AM
It will be like most queues. I look forward to seeing all the details! - MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz  922.2 #94 6:35AM
Me too! - LaPearleNoir  573.8 #192 6:40AM
I actually like this - PrincessDuckie  588.1 #187 6:39AM
Yeah. These calls must be a hard decision for DL. With increase of strollers in the parks, it does take away from some of the beauty, and does clog up the walkways. But with an increase of population and added attendance to the parks, it's going to be expected. - RadioMaverick  529.8 #216 9:24AM
This will be an interesting decision. I can already see very angry guests. - aprilinjune4  380.8 #355 9:39AM
So can I and I have had the pleasure to deal with them. Fire codes set by the fire marshal doesn't matter to those people. - Lelundrial  341.2 #429 11:29AM
That's it. Stroller Crew is boycotting Fantasy Faire!! - Deltachiq  969.0 #90 10:08AM
I am kidding of course. I just feel bad for the parents who have kids that don't walk. Carrying a ten month old in hour long lines gets painful. - Deltachiq  969.0 #90 10:10AM
Especially while trying to wrangle a restless 2-3 year old! Luckily, I'm not in that situation, but I know many who are! - duckchub  290.3 #668 10:23AM
I have to take my stroller in lines with me because I have a condition that makes it very painful for me to carry my youngest (he's 3 almost 4). I can't even pull on him and he can't pull on me too hard either. The result is very painful chest pains that simulate a heart attack. - moomooluvr  272.6 #808 12:36PM
Makes perfect sense.. Fantasy Faire is an attraction and you have to leave strollers outside the queue of most attractions anyways.. to me FF is an expanded attraction queue - justcallmeKP  85.8 #3200 10:25AM
They do this at WDW for the Buzz/Woody meet & greet in Andy's room...I totally understand the desire to not have strollers in there but I still remember how difficult it was to carry my heavy 8 month old in that line. - MinnieMousewife  570.4 #194 10:30AM
They have a meet n greet there?? When? How cool! - MissMolly  697.6 #141 12:01PM
This is not a new land, it's a new attraction. And there are few attractions that allows strollers inside - Philliprocks  276.6 #763 10:58AM
I like the unless the child is asleep clause. I have two kids under the age of 4 and it is not weird for the lil one to crash out while the other is ready to meet and greet the princess. I can't send the 4yr old in by herself this allows me to accommodate the older one while the lil one sleeps. HOORAY! PS my stroller is not a double wide =0) - mojoz01  4.7 #11104 12:19PM
In regards to the sleeping child clause, what happens if the child wakes up somewhere around down the line? How can you prove the child was asleep when some butthurt parent starts instigating things? - cesium55  529.7 #217 12:43PM
Oh I can so see this happening! Good question - PrincessDuckie  588.1 #187 1:09PM
I was thinking that too! Although, maybe they would monitor the lines and then take the stroller from you and park it for you as a courtesy. I imagine if there's not too many people around, they'd cut people slack here and there. - meridafan  1036.5 #83 1:23PM
Good point, I think they should just ban the strollers all together, I have a little one too and don't have anything against strollers, but in this instance it just raises to many "what-ifs" - ribidib  404.3 #323 1:25PM
Honor system? - shadowgamer  1954.3 #37 1:26PM
I agree they should just ban the strollers, sleeping child and all. There are too many other people just looking to complain to get stuff, it's just sad. - kss4tink  216.8 #1397 1:41PM
Guess you'll have to remove your stroller just like everyone else had to. - Winnie111286  288.8 #675 2:32PM
I see parents saying to their 2 year old, "Psst! Pretend your asleep!" lol - RadioMaverick  529.8 #216 10:31PM
Isn't this what they do at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in DCA? - moomooluvr  272.6 #808 1:41PM
Pretty sure, I don't ever remember having my stroller in there - GarnerPhotography  321.4 #517 3:29PM
I am a stroller toting parent and I completely understand having to leave it outside the attraction ( that's what it is. . .not a new land). I have a 9 month old that I would have to lug around but that's how it goes. However banning strollers in the whole park is rediculous. This is a family friendly park and if I can't take my kids until they are stroller free (about 4 years old) that would be awful! I am always very careful with my stroller and have not yet ran into a single person :) - AZDisneyfam  180.1 #1859 1:48PM
whispers "people just kidding about banning them in the whole park" - ShariRenee  1560.1 #50 1:57PM
i realize most are...but some people aren't. I have had more than one rude person in the park get in my face telling me I am going too slow/in the way and should not be there with a stroller...not MWers of course :) - AZDisneyfam  180.1 #1859 2:05PM
boy was 2, didn't use a stroller, we survived - Lelundrial  341.2 #429 2:07PM
I don't think they will ever ban strollers in the park, nor do I think anyone suggested it (seriously) so I think you're ok :) - MissMolly  697.6 #141 2:07PM
Everyone's needs are different. Some kids do fine without a stroller others need a stroller and in my case, I need my son to be in a stroller. - moomooluvr  272.6 #808 2:08PM
But think about the arms you will get carrying him around. Check out these guns. πŸ’ͺ - Lelundrial  341.2 #429 2:38PM
I've had people get mad at us for going too slow while our 2 year old was walking. It almost closing time, on a week night. We were walking right next to the Golden Horseshoe, not even in the middle of the street and these ladies behind us were right on our heels. The area was not crowded at that time and they had plenty of room to go around but they decided to stay on our heels. When we moved to look at something they shouted something at us. I mean, we were just walking with our 2 year old! You can't win either way apparently. - kss4tink  216.8 #1397 4:02PM
I know this must have been a difficult decision for Disney to make but overall I think it is going to allow everybody to truly enjoy the experience. Plus there really does need to be some consideration when it comes to safety and keeping the fire marshalls happy. - Bibba  281.3 #723 3:20PM
I was just thinking about this. I think the only reasonable place to put strollers would be to the right of the Royal Theater and left of the entrance of the shop. - JoshTheJunkyardJamboreer  252.4 #987 4:07PM
Love strollers but I also enjoy experiences in the park without them. i'm ok with no strollers in this area. Umm can we add a stroller only section for parade viewing too. - pinkmonkeys  321.6 #516 4:14PM
Where do they plan to park all those strollers?? - Mimmy  1405.6 #57 5:32PM
I'm thinking strollers will not be the issue here. It is just going to be CROWDED! - Plumiegirl  3345.9 #10 5:47PM
Oh yes! - ShariRenee  1560.1 #50 5:50PM
This will be nice. - MeridasHair  319.8 #523 5:53PM
I love this idea! - Nyghtngale  547.8 #204 8:53PM
Yup- totally going to need a leash to keep track of my 1.5 year old. That's ok. I totally understand the stroller thing. - mayapapayah  8.1 #7545 9:11PM
After being in the parks yesterday & had my toes run over several times - Love the idea. - Winnie111286  288.8 #675 12:47PM
Great idea! - msdizmaui  519.0 #223 1:18PM
According to a plaid a spike to the stroller parking with be over by the Matterhorn - Bambi.  595.2 #184 1:23PM
