Carnation Cafe Review: I had the PB&J soda, fried pickles and Baked Potato Soup. I'd say both the soda and pickles are something everyone needs to try at least once simply for how strange the items are. The PB&J soda is surprisingly tasty and not a overpowering taste of peanut butter as I was expecting. The "jelly" part of it is pretty much a grape soda. Definitely give it a shot. I was worried about the pickle taste being too strong even after being fried, but the breading covers it up quite nicely while keeping that familiar crunch you'd expect with a pickle. The dipping sauce is simply delicious and I wish they had it for other items. Lastly, the bakes potato soup is covered in bacon bits and cheese with slivers of potato. It was pretty good but I feel the aforementioned items had an effect on my sense of taste after eating them. Finally, I'd recommend sitting outside if you can here for the ambience. When I was eating, the Dapper Dans came out and sang across the street at Market House and it made for a wonderful lunch experience being able to hear them.
