Hey everyone, I've been looking at what hotels to go to when I arrive in disneyland this summer. Since its my first time in disneyland I don't know how the hotels are. The disneyland hotels are too expensive for my budget but I do want one that is easy to walk to disneyland. I'll like to know what your guys favorite hotel is that is close to the resort and at a reasonable price. I don't care if its a fancy hotel or not, since I'm not going to be in the hotel very much. Also if you give me an estimate of walking distance, that would be great. Thanks!
Candy Cane Inn has free parking, free continental breakfast, and a free shuttle to and from the parks running throughout the day. - ima-pirateswife

Agree !! We stayed there in Oct and was pretty good !! First time staying we are returing for Easter ! The shuttle is great too ! - jmza4 239.2 #31532 4:22PM
I agree also. Have stayed there 3 times and the best shuttle ever! Love staying at Doubletree for the suites but the ART was not as reliable. - sstarlight 294.4 #642 7:12PM
HOJO is great. Only a 10 minute walk. If you call there in house reservation line you also get a great discount. - rdaann

The only place i've stayed at near the parks is Hotel Menage and it was nice and I got a good rate. Fyi they take AAA. Might also want to check out the Howard Johnson. I have not stayed there but hear slot of mwers say its nice and good rates. You can also use the search button on here and see others who have posted this question and see what feedback they got. Hope this helps :) - stevesdisneyprincess

We stayed at Best Western Stovalls Inn. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk, clean and friendly staff. The room was reasonable for when we went in October. - BelleLuvr

The hotel i always stay at is the Anaheim desert inn across the street from the park. They always have good rates and its about as close as you can get to the entrance. You should be booking your hotel now if your going this summer. Prices get higher and rooms start filling up the closer you get to the dates. - rachelelizabeth

Anaheim desert inn or del sol - Princessnicci

hmmm, i will admit i stayed a couple around disneyland resort. but there are also some factors to consider... If you want a FREE BREAKFAST (not just Continental one) Ramada Plaza is acceptable... Walking distance, i love Howard Johnson Plaza and if you get a room with the view, that is great! Also, they have Keurig coffee Makers!!!. Budget wise (and you say that you will not stay most of your time), i always go for Super 8, Travelodge or Days Inn. Pretty much they are acceptable walking distance, but it is cheap. - otilegna

Hojo is great but if that is out of your budget DM me as I have stayed at about every one over the years good and bad. I stay in a hotel in Anaheim about twice a month. It's fun to plan and good idea to book your stay now! - ShariRenee

I'm going to DM you Shari. I usually stay on Harbor, right across the street from the parks. I'm looking to branch out. We usually head down every 4-8 weeks. - LaPearleNoir 574.4 #192 9:15PM
Yes, I will look for it! - ShariRenee 1562.5 #50 10:02PM
Fairfield inn by Marriott or desert inn - AZDisneyfam

We like to stay at the red lion. It is only like a 5-10 min walk to Disneyland, it is also close to toy story parking in case your tired at the end of the day and want a free ride back. We don't usually pay too much to stay. The breakfast if included but nit for $7-10 is worth it. The rooms are clean and big as well. - Princess Daisy

Fairfield Inn by Marriott and its right across the street from the main entrance. Clean rooms, soft towels, very comfortable beds, quiet, great staff and a restaurant, Millie's (serves American fare, great homestyle breakfast) that's in the parking lot. 😊 - DisneyFanZoe

The Sheraton is very nice & near the Toy Story lot, so it's only about a 10 minute walk to the main gate! - GrimGrinningAmanda

Could you take the Toy Story bus? Seems better. - MrsSchnooks 604.0 #182 6:47PM
You certainly could! It's not a horrible walk though! So it's nice to have the options. :) - GrimGrinningAmanda 318.7 #528 7:06PM
We stayed at the HoJo in the past, especially when they did the retro rates. Beds were comfy. Super nice. We can recommend. Friends just stayed at the Ramada by The Garden Walk. They recommended it to us. Said it was comfy as well. Had breakfast, pool and spa. They also liked having more food choices at Garden Walk. 10-15 min walk to DL. Most of the hotels in Anaheim are in walking distance, or you can use the Anaheim Resort Transit, so distance isn't a big factor for us. - Sugarbuzz

Desert inn or del sol are both very close and good prices. They are about a 5 min walk to front gate - ibmickeyfan

Anaheim plaza its directly across from the ToT maybe a 10 min walk if that (my 4 year old likes to smell all the flowers along the way other wise im sure it'd be more like 5 mins lol) - pintsize

Hojo is perfect !! It's right across the street. Very clean. If you have a large family and need bigger the a embassy suites are great but you'll need a bus to get to park. Go Hojo ! - polo33

We stayed at the Park Place Inn in July, and we stayed at the HoJo in January. HoJo was cleaner, nicer and less expensive. LOVED the HoJo!! - mrstoad 240.4 #1113 4:49PM
We typically stay at the tropicana which is right across the entrance. We are staying at hojo for the first time in a week. - girlzstylin

I usually stay at Abby's Anaheimer Inn. Its not close enough to walk, but a short drive to the parking structure. I have also stayed at the La Quinta on Clementine. They have the ART bus that pics up right outside their door, or you could walk to DL. Its about a half a mile. (15 min walk) - Armenda

Also for La Quinta: If you use the corporate code LOVES you can get a discount. :) - Armenda 994.9 #89 7:17PM
Howard Johnson Anaheim Plaza (HoJo) and the Portofino Inn are both good. - PrincessKristin

Another vote for Candy Cane Inn. It is our go to place for many years
IMHO HoJo had way too much freeway rumble for our tastes - SteveGough

Thanks everyone! You guys are awesome! I'll do more research so I can get the best one for me. Thinking about candy cane inn. - emoji3

We really like the Ramada Main Gate, it's clean offers free parking and is a stones throw from the park. After a long day of walking its nice to take a 5 minute walk to your room! - APirateslifeforme31 68.1 #3449 11:22PM
Stovalls Inn is great. Also, Doubletree for a big family like ours. This time we're trying out the Anaheim Islander Inn, has solid reviews, full size fridge, and double sized room w/4 queen beds for a great price! - DisneyLuva4Life
