Fanciest bread bowl i have seen- toasted top, a doilie on a plate, and a REAL spoon!! - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1802.8 #42 3:59PM
That can't be the top thats toasted, it looks like the top is hanging from the left hand corner of the breadbowl... I've been staring at this trying to figure it out. - madsdad 1130.7 #72 4:03PM
Maybe it's part of the bread that was carved out. It looks delicious. - aidensmama 336.6 #446 4:05PM
Idk Nick. You definitely bring up some valid points. The sourdough lids are usually are dome shaped. This lid, in particular, doesn't seem to be all that thick. I am going to conclude that this is a thin slice off of it. - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1802.8 #42 4:11PM
Why is it toasted? and why is their a real spoon? A REAL SPOON! - DisneyMe2Death 607.0 #181 4:14PM
*Buzzkill alert*. I googled 'La Brea Bakery soup' and a very similar picture showed up, including the grill marked bread piece. You may all return to your regularly scheduled duties, it's from La Brea Bakery.π. - Linzee

I was thinking that top. Especially with the doily. - MrsSchnooks 609.4 #179 5:14PM
They don't offer a bread bowl on the room service menu - JenInWonderland 1025.1 #86 6:36PM
I know...I just checked. LOL Thanks Jen. - MrsSchnooks 609.4 #179 6:39PM
There are particles of dirt in the left hand corner, that you can only find in certain areas of Kentucky. The spoon is from a set from the 1930's but too valuable to be a hand me down. The chowder is obviously canned from the overly pasty color. I conclude she is having dinner at her grandmothers house in Kentucky. - madsdad

French Market also sold Clam Chowder in a bread bowl and has real silverware. However I don't remember a doilie - Deltachiq

Not anymore though, they replaced it with corn chowder. Gggrrrr! π¬ - LilMissPixie84 35.1 #4174 5:54PM
They served it along side a salad on a black plate if I recall correctly. - JenInWonderland 1025.1 #86 6:37PM
Does anybody else think that spoon looks uncomfortable to eat with? - MrsSchnooks

If its the only spoon in the world for clam chowder at Disneyland, I'm game! - LilMissPixie84 35.1 #4174 6:03PM
Panini chicken on the bottom?? maybe??because the top of the bread still looks attached looks yummy - Eeyorelvr

If you click and make the picture larger, you can tell that it is bread by the porous holes and crumbs - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1802.8 #42 6:07PM
CSI MWer says: Yes, Churro is correct. In fact, if you compare the shape of the bread to the hole in the bowl, its a match. lol - Alicewhoareyou 536.3 #210 6:10PM
And I can confirm that Alice can confirm Churro's investigation. π - MrsSchnooks 609.4 #179 6:14PM
And I can also confirm that I am amused and laughing! - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1802.8 #42 8:05PM

You've all been fooled. She's having clam chowder and crostini at her Grandma's house. The doilie is a total giveaway. - DisneyFanZoe

It's this from Knotts Berry Farm? They probably have paper doilies. The spoon could be plastic, they make shiny plastic spoons that look like metal. - Vegan7LuvsStitch
