#Trivia - She is the 2nd daughter of Hina(who is the mother of Maui). Hina Kuluua is the mistress of rain. She died trying to save her starving people but her ghost still appears near the hills (above Hilo) from time to time as clouds of rain. *from Hawaiian Myths and Legends. I am not sure about that cresent shape on top of her but it might be her brother Maui's canoe. The Hawaiian word Kulu means dripping and Ua means rain -> dripping rain, - Plumiegirl

I went to look up Koro and Tangaroa but they are Tahitian and Cook islands which are not my specialty. Koro or aka Oro is a god of war from either the Solomon islands or Tahiti. Tangaroa is Tahitian but shows up in other Polynesian mythology and is the God of the sea. Each has a long story that can be found via google. Most of the Gods and Godesses are from Polynesian creation mythology. It is really interesting lore if you get into it. - Plumiegirl 3322.5 #10 7:50PM
