Please don't feed the Disney animals. It may be tempting to throw the ducks pieces of bread but if everyone did that they wouldn't be able to find their own food. - KermitFan13 411.1 #323 10:03AM

I agree - They have signs all over WDW saying "Do not feed the birds. Feeding changes their natural behavior and may be harmful to their health." I'm surprised signs like that aren't on the wharf here.. - Lola027 445.1 #286 10:24AM

Maybe not the best idea becuase I've heard they have feeding stations with special duck food, im guessing. Fun fact is that all the animals get vet checkups. A CM told me that so it must be true :) Enjoy your trip! - pinkmonkeys 334.9 #463 9:40AM

The cats get vet checks, but the ducks don't. They are truly wild, and protected under Federal Law as migratory birds so unless their is an illness or injury they are left alone. Feeding them people food, while fun, is not beneficial - they have extremely sensitive digestive systems and something as simple as popcorn or bread can cause illness. - Gia 794.2 #122 10:33AM
