I have a question for you awesome CM MouseWaiters.
I WAS going to be patient and wait until attractions had a posting again to apply; but due to my hours being cut at my current job, I cannot afford to be picky (literally) anymore. So I am going to apply for a position outside of attractions I think.
My question is: how long do I have to wait to transfer departments? What about within one department, but to a different area?
If you want to transfer, you will have to wait until your "probation" period is up (about 100 days) to transfer to a different department (also depends on that department's availability of open spaces for CMs). For transferring to a different area within your department, you will have to talk with your manager(s) to see what is available at the moment. - BaseballMickey_CM

I went for an interview this past Monday for "vacation planner" which is ticket window. During the application process u r asked for alternatives and I selected attractions. During my interview I was asked the order of priority an was told Id be on the wait list for both until the number of available positions were finalized. I was advised that I could transfer after 4 months. I was a little shocked its just 4 months. Good luck. - CM_Tamstirr

120 days is when your probation is over then you can transfer or cross train, thats what I've been told - CMallyg92

Thanks guys! 😊 As a general aside, am I correct in assuming its a bit easier to transfer to attractions then to apply straight into it from outside because that's what so many people wait for? - rebray10
