Question for my fellow mousewaiters. I don't like using my disability sign often because I feel there are other worse off than me, however lately my feet have been in more pain than normal, so I can't be on them as much leading to constant breaks for sitting down, does anyone know where I would go or what I would do when it comes to the guest accommodations that Disney does! I hope I don't sound like a whiner it's not meant to come off that way!

Go to City Hall and get a Guest Assistance Card - ScooterMike  1959.8 #35 10:20PM
Thanks for such a quick response! Do I need to bring paperwork or anything? - jillyinwonderland  12.0 #6224 10:22PM
I don't believe you need any paperwork. - meridafan  1034.3 #83 10:57PM
You could rent a wheelchair or scooter. This is what my mother use to do. She had a lot of problems with her feet and walking around so this was definitely a beneficial option. - aidensmama  336.4 #444 10:21PM
Haha my grandma said the same thing, but I gotta work those churros off somehow! Walking is ok, it's just the standing. I broke both of my feet in cheer so it's a mission! Thanks for the response! - jillyinwonderland  12.0 #6224 10:25PM
Oh that sounds painful! Definitely get that GAC card. People like you are who it is meant for! Get it, and upset. Don't wait until you are in pain! - meridafan  1034.3 #83 10:47PM
'Use it,' not 'upset.' - meridafan  1034.3 #83 10:48PM
Does anyone know about renting scooters at the park? Can you take them back to your room if you're staying at a dl resort or do you have to return them at the gate? - Twitterpated  230.9 #1226 11:27PM
They have to be returned when you leave the park - greenalien39  319.5 #521 11:30PM
No, you can't pass security with them. - bluefairy  627.0 #174 11:32PM
The wheelchairs can be taken to the room. When we stayed there they got my mom a wheelchair for her and we just returned it at the hotel when we were done. - aidensmama  336.4 #444 11:32PM
They do have some you can rent at the resort hotels. The best would be to call the hotel directly. If you rent at the parks it is $50 plus tax and a $20 deposit for a scooter. And $12 plus a $20 deposit. The deposit you get back when you return the wheelchair. But you can not take them past the bag checks. So no going into dtd or to the hotels. On another forum someone said they rented at the DL hotel forb$10 a day and they could take it back and forth. But again check with the hotel you are staying at. Another option that is usually cheaper is renting from an off site company. - ImAlwaysCrazy  646.4 #166 11:34PM
$12 plus a $29 deposit is not a regular wheelchair. No tax on regular wheel chairs. - ImAlwaysCrazy  646.4 #166 11:36PM
$20 deposit* - ImAlwaysCrazy  646.4 #166 11:36PM
Thank you everyone for the information. I didn't realize the scooter rental was so pricey! Anyone know of an off property scooter rental place that will deliver to the hotel? - Twitterpated  230.9 #1226 11:46PM
We use Deckert's Medical, I think it was average $30/day. - Linzee  515.4 #227 1:28AM
Thank you, linzee. This information was very helpful! - Twitterpated  230.9 #1226 10:57AM
