My friend is going to Disney world, and I have never been, and she says it so much better. What one do you Guys think is better?

Don't compare just experience both - E-Ticket  772.5 #128 2:19PM
This ^^^^I totally agree!!!!! - mrscttlemstr  236.9 #1146 2:35PM
I've been to Disneyworld 4 times in the last 2 years, and I feel like I haven't scratched the surface of stuff to see there. They are 2 completely different universes. I don't think one is better than the other. - chelebee  233.0 #1201 3:34PM
I'll split this into to parts, the Walt Disney World section will be a reply to this. Disneyland is and always be Walt's original dream and the basis for every other park. Walt walked in and lived in Disneyland and he threw pretty much his entire life into the project (if it bombed, we most likely would never have gotten anything else from the company after 1955). This fact alone should bring awe and amazement upon realizing you are looking at and touching attractions and shows that Walt himself designed, built and enjoyed. THAT simple fact is what makes Disneyland magical. - shadowgamer  1954.3 #37 4:54PM
As for my thoughts on Walt Disney World: Many will bash on Walt Disney World because "Walt didn't set foot in it." While this is true, Walt DID plan the whole area and his brightest dream for the future was Epcot. While the theme park is not his exact plan of a city where the people of the world came together as one, it is very much based on this dream. Also, Roy Disney saw to it that after his brother's death, his plan would live on and construction would begin on "The Florida Project". In case anyone didn't know, the area was originally going to just be called Disney World, but Roy changed it to honor his brother and added Walt. So, yes, Walt Disney World is a complete tribute to the man's hopes and dreams for the future. - shadowgamer  1954.3 #37 5:04PM
I will say that Walt Disney World has my favorite view of either resort though. - shadowgamer  1954.3 #37 6:44PM
I have never been to WDW, but I have heard that it is 2 different experiences. The best opinion is your own. Go & Enjoy yourself. At the end of your trip, you decide. :) I hope to visit someday! - Armenda  994.7 #89 2:48PM
We prefer Disneyland, we know it like the back of our hand! - DagostinoMagic  8.7 #7237 2:20PM
Never been but have had family members that have gone. They say besides a few rides and a couple cool things to look at, it is basically Disneyland. They wouldn't spend the extra money to fly there ever again when they can save money and drive to Disneyland for prettying the same thing. - Belleslibrary  230.2 #1241 2:43PM
Just different. Not better. Personally, I prefer Disneyland. It's closer, so my odds of going there are so much higher than going to WDW. That right there makes me prefer Disneyland. - meridafan  1036.8 #83 3:10PM
I love WDW, but DLR is much easier to navigate, easier to enjoy with little ones. Different and both great IMO. - MsKa-chow  12.2 #6184 3:23PM
I went to WDW last year for the first time, and I really enjoyed myself. However, I think that's a place that's more for every few years. I'm much more comfortable with Disneyland and it's an easier drive for me - MinnieM1416  6.0 #9109 3:26PM
I have never been there, but I did watch a special on tv about Disney World and it is Soooooo much bigger. I would go if the opportunity ever came up. - lpreeder68  32.6 #4265 3:46PM
It's like Tinkerbell in Peter Pan and the new Tinkerbell movies. They are different but the same. But because they are Disney they are both great in their own way. - PrincessDuckie  588.3 #187 3:51PM
I've been but only to magic kingdom and animal kingdom(and sports complex and DTD) I prefer the original but it was fun to see the differences and I don't think I would understand the set up an where the parks are and how it's all spread out if I didn't go, one day I'd love to bring my family just so they can experience it at least once - lisaw  96.3 #3075 3:53PM
Never been to WDW. Hoping to go some day. I will always give my heart to Disneyland though. I grew up here in Cali!! My home away from home!! - Superspacemountainfan  11.5 #6354 4:02PM
I love Disneyland so so so much more! WDW is to touristy and DL is home :) - GarnerPhotography  321.4 #517 4:14PM
No! It's difficult - at best - getting from park to park. More expensive and not as genuine as Cali! Walt was in DL on a daily basis and you can still sense that to this day. World is just not as magical. - Sfarrell  12.2 #6190 4:17PM
I'll be honest. I didn't love WDW. I love the original Happiest Place on Earth! - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  324.1 #507 4:57PM
I like to visit WDW but DL is home. - Froggyfriends  243.4 #1067 5:24PM
i like both, but i can't say that WDW is better.. for a few reasons: a) weather is WAY too unpredictable. bring a poncho, umbrella, sweater and jacket for a single day's worth of crazy weather. b) park to park requires serious car/shuttle motion.. none of this "walk across the esplanade" stuff. c) the magic kingdom has generally all the same rides, +/- a few things, the only new experiences are at AK and Epcot. - SultanPprShkr  328.7 #480 5:26PM
I think they're both special in their own ways. I like the quaintness of DL. It was the first park I visited and will always remember that. WDW is amazing. You are immersed in the magic of Disney which is awesome. Comparing them is just out of the question. They are both wonderful! - minigirl1156  411.7 #315 5:41PM
