OK fellow MWers I need some advice (again). My husband and I are taking a trip to Disneyland next saturday.. it's a 6 hour drive so we will be leaving around 1am to get there before the park opens, however, we won't be able to check into our hotel until 3pm that afternoon. So my question is...does anyone have any suggestions as to where to park for free until check in?
Downtown disney has 3 hours free parking, 5 with validation (get something to eat in dtd). You aren't supposed to park there for theme park, but no one will check. - bluefairy

I don't know for sure, but I would guess they would... otherwise, what's stopping people from doing that and filling their lots? I agree with meridafan--they'll let you park there for sure. - KylaShea 533.2 #214 9:03AM

Where are you staying? You will most likely be able to park on the hotel property before you check in if they don't let you check in early. - JenInWonderland

We had the same situation when we went in Dec. We were able to check in and park before heading to the park and the hotel called when our rooms were ready. - AZDisneyfam

I always stay at the Motel6 and parking is free. You may try to check in early as many hotels will either accommodate an early check in or hold your luggage until your room is ready. Motel6 lets me check in as early as 5AM. - MrsMears

Usually the hotel will let you check in and park your car, the hotel room usually just won't be ready till three. If that happens to not be the case with your hotel I bet they still let you park in the hotel parking lot. - TheDisneylandman

All the hotels I have done the exact same thing, I live in San Jose so we always leave about that time and every hotel lets us park as long as we are checking in later that day. I don't imagine any problems but just call the hotel to make sure. - ribidib

Well, we booked the Hacienda Inn and Suites but I'm having second thoughts since it has such bad reviews...another MWer recommended this app HotelTonight which has nicer hotels at a very affordable rate but you can only book that same day. If I were to go that route then I won't know what hotel we are staying at until after noon. - LennaH

I've parked in DTD for short trips to the park and ate at DTD so got validated but didn't eat to get validated just worked out that way lol - lisaw

We got into town early last weekend, and just went to hotel, they gave us a parking pass for their lot and we parked there even though our room wasn't ready yet - zigbear

I agree. go to your hotel they should give you the pass to put in your car. Two different hotels I use allow you to park all day both on check in day and check out day. Last weekend I was there at 7:00 and when I left I checked out at 8:00 but could have parked there all day. - DebbyMouse7531

Depending on the bookings, you may be able to check in anyway. We got to the DLH at 10am our last trip and they let us check in. As far as parking you should be good with a pass, the hotels are cool about that. - PixiPirateMaid
