Hello everyone! Not sure if this belongs in the Hub or Disneyland talk but this is related to Disneyland. I have an interview tomorrow and I'm starting to become very nervous. Disneyland has always been MY magical happy place and I'm worried if I accept a position will I lose that? Will Disneyland become a "job" or will I still love it as much as I do now? If any CMs would like to share their thoughts, feelings or experiences I would greatly appreciate it. I'm interviewing for "vacation planner" (ticket window) thank you in advance 😉

I hear this question often "If I work at the Disneyland resort will it ruin the magic for me?" I answer "Disney magic is like water. You can drink one day till your full and your thirst is quenched. The next day you are thirsty again and can not survive with out it". We all need a little magic in our lives. It satisfies some basic needs and makes us happy. If you have really looked into the role and EVERYTHING it means to work for Disney, then go for it. You will make memories for you and the guest. - BalooTBear  905.1 #101 8:03AM

Good luck to you! Just take a breather. As a wise MWer once said... It's what you make it! - JRDrummer_CM  793.0 #123 12:35AM
My daughter is a CM and had the same concerns. She is loving every minute of it. She did feel different at first, but after a few weeks all of that disappeared. She makes the magic happen for guests daily, which is so rewarding for her. I think the magic is still there when she is a guest. She never wants to leave the park after work, so that tells me that her feelings haven't changed. Her job is not easy. She has never lost sight of what a wonderful opportunity she has, and how lucky she is to be living her dream. Good luck and I hope all of your dreams come true! - snowwannab  355.3 #414 8:49AM
i think you will still have the magic dont be nervious you will be fine - CM_Oregonducksfan  851.5 #108 12:23AM
I think you can separate the two and still keep Disneyland as "Your Magical Happy Place". I've often thought the same thing, but with the position you are applying for I think you will still be experiencing the magic because of all the magic you will be creating for others! Pass it on. Good luck to you. - tink1999  8.2 #7670 7:38AM
We know a few people that work for disneyland and they still seem to love every bit of their job because all it becomes is just a extension of the magic!! You will love it just smile and enjoy - DagostinoMagic  8.7 #7390 7:50AM
I love being a CM in DTD. And the main reason I still love the parks is because I'm not actually working inside the parks every day. I'm sure you will still enjoy the magic of the parks! Good luck! :) - uhhliana  31.9 #4371 10:26AM
