I hear this question often "If I work at the Disneyland resort will it ruin the magic for me?" I answer "Disney magic is like water. You can drink one day till your full and your thirst is quenched. The next day you are thirsty again and can not survive with out it". We all need a little magic in our lives. It satisfies some basic needs and makes us happy. My daughter is a CM and had the same concerns. She is loving every minute of it. She did feel different at first, but after a few weeks all of that disappeared. She makes the magic happen for guests daily, which is so rewarding for her. I think the magic is still there when she is a guest. She never wants to leave the park after work, so that tells me that her feelings haven't changed. Her job is not easy. I think you can separate the two and still keep Disneyland as "Your Magical Happy Place". I've often thought the same thing, but with the position you are applying for I think you will still be experiencing the magic because of all the magic you will be creating for others! Pass it on.
