Hi Mousewait people, My husband & I are going to WDW on Sunday for a week. It's our first time & I am so excited. Disneyland is my home so this will be new. Any suggestions on how to have a great adventure?
Have a great time. WDW is fun, but DL is magical in a special way. - Mrs.mouse

Remember WDW is not Disneyland-- it has it's own magic that is different. Enjoy the exploration and the adventure!! - chancesr

I am so looking forward to this new adventure. Thanks - Winnie111286 288.8 #675 12:49PM
Take your time in each park. Make sure you try all the rides-a lot of rides have small differences (some large differences). At Animal Kingdom take the Safari first thing in the morning. A lot of animals are awake and active (lots go to sleep and hide when it gets hot). Enjoy all Epcot has to offer-can be a very romantic place to stroll through in the evening. Use Fast Passes-especially in Hollywood Studios. It will save you a lot of waiting! It is a huge place so pace yourself. WDW is an amazing adventure-enjoy! - missyandpaul

I really hope you have made all your reservations for meals. The popular restaurants book up months in advance! Have fun! - Katrayher

We haven't made any reservations. Didn't know where to go. - Winnie111286 288.8 #675 12:25PM
Plan two full days for EPCOT! This place is amazing. Download the Florida version of MW there are great tips there. Like which days to do which parks. Relax and enjoy. - Deltachiq

Last time I was there 11 years ago I had an amazing steak inside cinderellas castle. I recomend eating there just for the atmosphere. My wife is a big Cinderella fan so she really enjoyed it too - Philliprocks

If you're staying at a WDW resort, take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, it gives you a little more time to explore. Do not miss the Be Our Guest restaurant!! if you go for lunch, get in line by 1:15. Make a list of your must-do's, there's so much to see that it helps to have, at least, a basic plan of action. Have fun!!! - nerdgirl

I plan on using the extra hours Sunday when we get there. Looks like Magic Kingdom has it & we will be there whatever time it is.

One of our favorite things was renting the mini speed boats at the Magic Kingdom resorts. You can really explore the area and that we're a blast, and not that expensive. - ValsLaughingPlace

I believe the main difference between the two resorts is the fact that at Anaheim it is far easier to break up a full day at the parks with a 2-3 hour hotel nap (ho-Jo) or lunch/dinner at
Downtown Disney, before returning for night time fun! At WDW the parks
are not accessible by walking from your hotel (one or two may be eg. AK Lodge) which means something gives
in regards to early or late visitation of the parks (unless you can last all day). Therefore, I always arrive Magic Kingdom + Epcot early afternoon, as the entertainment at night is a
highlight! .. Have a great trip!! - RapunzelledColey

I miss WDW badly! Since its your first time I suggest when you visit the Magic Kingdom to watch the show in front of the castle called Dream Along w/ Mickey. If you've ever used the word 'dream' (like my dream vacation is to go to WDW, like me) then this is a must see! - iamdugsmaster

I'm looking forward to seeing the Electric Light Parade. I miss it. - Winnie111286 288.8 #675 12:34PM
WDW is a whole different universe compared to DL & DCA. We go there for 7 days and take one of those days as an "off" day to explore Downtown Disney, and the other hotels, which are incredible in themselves. We've been there 4 times, and I still feel like we haven't seen close to it all! As someone posted earlier, it is fun to notice the differences in the rides. They still have the People Mover and Carousel of Progress! Also, everyone says to ride the Safari in the morning, but after 4 times, the animals were most active for me in the evening before the park closes, and it was explained to me that they know the park is closing and they will be summoned to their beds for the night, where the food is! Have fun and enjoy yourselves! - chelebee

Where is the People Mover? I don't see it on the list. - Winnie111286 288.8 #675 10:28AM
People mover is in the magic kingdom. - MicheyMouse 264.6 #875 12:21PM
The People Mover is still in Tomorrow Land, pretty much in the same spot as it was in DL - chelebee
