hi my wife to be and myself will be spending half of our honeymoon at Disneyland in mid October,it's our first time but have been to Paris and Orlando, will the evening shows be running,we already have got bad news as thunder mountain will be opening 2 days after we go home,oh and any tips on how to honeymoon Disney style, were comin from Ireland

Welcome to MW! Just FYI: during the time of October, the park hosts Mickey's Halloween Party every Tuesday and Friday night, starting in late September to Halloween night. Due to the parties, the Disneyland park does close early. Also, during that time, Fantasmic and the fireworks are only Friday-Sunday nights. - BaseballMickey_CM  2847.3 #15 4:37PM
Congrats. It depends on the days, the Halloween parties are at night at Disneyland, but World of Color should run every night at DCA! - GarnerPhotography  321.4 #516 4:37PM

Top o the mornin to ya, and welcome to the Ohana. Definately purchase tickets to Mickey's Halloween Party for one of the nights your here. Make it into the parks early and get RSR fast passes and take advantage of early entry, especially in DL then on to DCA. Have a magical time in the original & first Magic Kingdom. Perhaps a MW meetup and share a pint at one of the taverns in DCA of Trader Sams. - splashphotoCM  880.9 #101 4:57PM
I agree with tickets to the Halloween party. We live close by and got married on a Wednesday then did lunch at Blue Bayou the next day before heading to have dinner with family then went back on Friday with ALL of our family but didn't do the Halloween party because we went over to DCA and it was such a long week for us. We have done it since and loved it!!!! Congratulations and make sure you get your Just Married buttons at City Hall and ask a CM if you can get a Storybook ride during the fireworks. - MrsSchnooks  572.8 #192 7:28PM
Note* RSR=Radiator Springs Racers. You don't want to miss out on that one. Like splashphotoCM said, get there early for that - Philliprocks  276.3 #762 7:30AM

Congrats! You should definitely make a few dining reservations. Blue Bayou at DL, Carthay Circle at DCA or Napa Rose at Grand Californian. Look online and check out the schedules in advance so you can plan. - nerdgirl  25.8 #4596 6:40PM
Congrats and I'm sure you'll have a blast :) Also, it is not unheard of for rides under refurbishment to reopen early so keep your fingers crossed :D - MrsFletch  47.9 #3793 6:42PM

Hi there!! I just spent my honeymoon in DL six months ago. It was the best week of my life. My advice is to get the free "just married" pins from town hall and get some bride and groom mouse ears. The CM's really go out of their way to make it Special for you. Just anyway you can sort them know it's your honeymoon they will do what thu can to make it memorable. - Belleslibrary  230.0 #1241 7:30PM
Ha, didnt see your comment before I left mine. Great minds think alike :) - BettyPoop  232.0 #1213 7:57PM

Congrats! I spent my honeymoon at Disneyland in September. Make sure you stop by city hall and get your "just married" buttons! Sometimes you get a honeymoon ride on Storybook Land or Its a Small World 😊 Oh! And there is also bride and groom Mickey ear hats that are great fun too, you can get your wedding date embroidered on them as a keepsake! - BettyPoop  232.0 #1213 7:56PM

Congrats. October is a fantastic time to visit the parks. Weather + crowds = perfect. Having also been to Orlando, my biggest advice would be to get a hotel within walking distance. of the parks. Many within 5-6 min walk and thats a huge advantage over Orlando. MW recommends the Howard Johnson and so do I if you on a budget. Have a great time and I may see you there!! - RapunzelledColey  12.9 #6047 10:21PM
Thank you all for the advice,we can't wait, our first part of the honeymoon will drag in,two week cruise to HawaiiB-) - Manuel  0.2 #63307 6:55AM
Longest honeymoon ever! You guys are awesome! 😄 - MissMolly  694.3 #143 7:14AM
Also, since your an official mousewaiter now, if you stay at Howard Johnson's make sure to get your MW discount - Philliprocks  276.3 #762 7:27AM
WOW! Congrats! Have fun! - MizzSpaceRAYnger  47.9 #3792 8:11AM
Being so far out and if you want to really surprise your future wife, I would suggest calling the Disneyland hotel and inquiring about the Fairy Tale Suite. It is spectacular and definitely a great place to rest after a long day at the park. - icephoenix25  234.8 #1170 8:16AM
congrats! have a great time! - OhanaPhoto  1414.3 #56 9:05AM
