I have a question for any AP holder who lives 3 or more hours away from the park. How many time did or have you gone in one year? I figured we have to come at least 4 times to get our money out of it. I'm thinking we can make it work but is it really doable for those of us who live so far away?
Ya know once you get an AP you will just come up with more excuses to go, that's the great thing about it. I'm from Oregon and have an AP, so you better believe I'm gonna go as many times as possible. - madsdad

I used to live 30 mins away growing up. Never perchased an AP. would go upwards 6xs a year. Now living so far away I and having this app, I find myself needing to go more. Do it! I bought an AP three years ago and make at least three planned trips a year with each trip being at least three days. By the end of the second trip the AP has pretty much paid for itself especially if you have a Premium. - KermitFan13 411.1 #323 3:39PM

Well be making our 4th trip in a few weeks totaling 14 days at the parks since getting our passes in late Oct. We had to get the premium since we only go on weekends but still haven't used the free parking since we stay within walking distance. We live 12hrs away, and we try to make it a fue times a year. We do spring break for a week. Then try a week or 2 in the summer. Then once for Halloween. The best part of haveing the AP is that if we can get away we go. And it helps my wifeys great at doing a trip on the cheep. - epyon8250

I think even 2 times can justify one if you are counting in the hotel discounts, the discounts on food and merch, and not having to buy a multi day pass. plus if you qualify for monthly payments, they do not charge interest and you get the special AP events which seem to be multiplying! - secretagentangel

If you plan two trips per pass (we buy it every other year). It is well worth the price. Parking and discounts make a difference. 5 day trip minimum. - mlatour

We live near Seattle. 2 trips a year and all of the discounts make it worth while for us...we are coming again in April and the discount for stay at the Grand almost made it worth having the AP's for the rest of the year. - garrlusdland

6 1/2 hours for us! We've had passes several times and hope to have them again this summer. We always get them at the end if the summer and go for at least 4-5 days and then to again for several days at the beginning of the next summer. We try to squeeze 1 or 2 shorter trips in during the school year. Completely worth it! We haven't been in 2 years (financially reasons) and can't wait to be pass holders again.
