I went to Disneyland about 2 months ago and my 4 year old daughter was less than a half inch from being 40" tall. At 40" a lot of big rides open up for her (Tower of Terror, Thunder Mountain, RSR, Space Mountain, Star Tours, Soaring over California, etc...). We are going tomorrow. Hopefully, she makes it this time. I can't wait to take her on all those ride.
Measure her now, that's what I did when my kids were little. That way they were not disappointed when we got to the parks. Little ones grow fast too! - ShariRenee

Thanks for the hints. I was thinking of swinging her around by her feet for awhile. (Just kidding). - samgardner

Let her hang from her feet from the jungle gym a little longer than usual 😜 - ribidib

But I agree with ShariRenee, I measured my stepdaughter before the trip and she just fell short. Was easier to explain to her then the reason she couldn't ride instead of at the park. - ribidib 400.7 #332 3:40PM
We got our daughter the shoes with bigger soles. They were a two inch lift. That got her on all the rides. That would make sure you are safe. - mlatour
