I'm not sure about any grace periods but here's what the FAQ states : NO DOWN PAYMENT – if you renew your pass before it expires, you don’t have to pay the $75 down payment with the new payment plan option! Say your pass expired feb 1. If you renew tomorrow w/o a down payment your pass will expire feb 1 2014. If you pay a down payment it will expire the first day you use your pass. I've only renewed passes in park though not online. Like others said I believe you have 30 days to renew but w/o a down payment your renewal date is your expiration date. I renewed mine 5 days after they expired and didn't have to pay down payment and they still gave me the $20 off. The only thing is charge your first month like a week after you renew. The cm had told me this when I was renewing. also your pass will still have your original expiration date. I just renewed like two weeks ago so nothing hopefully has changed.
