So we are planning on going to DL in February. Right after presidents weekend. Is it true that disneyland is cracking down on the " leasing" ticket businesses? We have AP,'s but friends of ours do not.
This means that your friends should pay for their own tickets. Or you should just dump them for AP holder friends. - MissMolly

Oh please don't let your friends do that. Any place that asks to keep your credit card and ID until you return the ticket is just untrustworthy. - Ain1derland

Is that what they really do? They hold your id and credit card? - aidensmama 336.6 #446 10:45PM
Yes, they really do. And they also tell you that you have to return the tickets by a certain time. They asked us to bring them back by 7 that same day even though we were staying for 2 days. - Ain1derland 325.5 #500 11:18PM
I was SO glad to see cast members taking photos of everyone with a park hopper and then checking them with each re-entry. Some people were complaining, but I thanked them each time I saw them. - PrincessKristin

My co-worker was going to do that too and I tried to discourage her. Now I can show her this post to hopefully she will see that its not legit. - Vegan7LuvsStitch

Witnessed the very icky other side of this with an entire family being walked out of site by security. Don't do it. But a legitimate ticket. - MeridasHair

Every time one of my friends goes with her family they talk about renting tickets. And every time I try to talk them out of it. - Krismiss

I do believe it will pay off for Disney. If they can catch enough of these tickets when it's not busy, they can put them out of business before the busy season. During the crush periods, trying to enforce this would send the entry lines all the way to the center of the esplanade, and out the security checkpoints, creating chaos. During the busy season, those places make thousands EVERY DAY. Ever seen the lines at the Chevron station, Distix, or at the business park across the freeway off Anaheim Blvd? Hundreds of people lined up each morning all summer. Disney was losing millions. - DizKahuna

Unfortunately these companies will probably stay in business because they offer other theme park tickets as well. My friend likes a page on facebook of a place that does this garbage. I think these people who lease tickets are lowlifes. - aidensmama 336.6 #446 10:16PM
