Hello everyone!!! I don't post much here. Anywho I'm thinking of going on a solo trip down to disneyland Wednesday since my friends are busy during the day. A bit nervous since this is my first trip ever without friends!!
Any suggestions as to what I should do? Or see?
I'm so excited/nervous!!
Solo trips are the best! You can go in the single rider lines be get on rides even faster! You can walk around and just people watch and basically do whatever you want! - leftmyheartinwonderland

I would love a solo visit! You can do anything you want. Or nothing at all! LOL. I want to avoid that rushing around to the next thing on our upcoming visit. I hope it works! Have fun!! I am a little bit envious! - meridafan

this was exactly what i posted my first time on here. I was going solo and felt so nervous about it. Excited but nervous. It may feel like everyone is watching you but really they just want to enjoy their time as well. Its a great. You get to do what you want, when you want to, in the order you want to. Ive been solo twice. Went with some friends last week and I spent an hour and a half waiting for them to get some stuff from their cars. It wasnt that great. When you go solo, you feel like you get so much DONE. Have fun and enjoy your solo day. - dmanzo425

Yes that's exactly how I feel cause I've always gone in a group!! But I just really wanna visit the park! Thanks! - checkmarkedheart 3.5 #17509 6:31PM
That would drive me nuts! Waiting an hour and a half? Don't they know they are missing prime disney time? Eek! - meridafan 1031.7 #83 6:39PM
Dont get me wrong. I enjoy going with me friends. But im due for a solo trip soon. There was a lot i didnt get to do last time. And yes they wasted valuable ride time. But i got to catch up with a great friend. - dmanzo425 248.7 #1017 9:44PM
Solo trips are great! Go see/do all the things that people tend to skip (the Columbia, Mr. Lincoln, the canoes, etc). - JustCantWait

Last week on a solo trip, I brought my headphones. While I waited in line, I picked a song that would best go with that ride. It was fun to experience some of the attractions with a different soundtrack.
Have a great time! - JenGwen323

May I suggest getting nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate, and just sit for a while on a bench on Main Street and just people watch. Say "Hi" to people and smile. Work your way up to venturing on into the park. Before you know it you'll be tearing it up!!! - DisneyGrandma

Thank you so much for the suggestions!! I will definitely just find someplace nice and just take it in! I've always wanted to do that but with friends around it's a rush to the next ride! - checkmarkedheart

Solo trips are the best!! I usually go solo anyway cause friends can't afford it& my friends with passes are usually busy. I love it though. I go to my favorite ride, which is Space Mountain& I ride it as many as five times in a row sometimes. It's true, you can do whatever you want.
You should think about having a meet up& then you won't be solo!!
Just a thought!! Have fun!! - Superspacemountainfan

Next time I definitely will. This is a sort of spur of the moment since my friends can't make it. But I will definitely try that next time I visit! - checkmarkedheart 3.5 #17509 6:31PM
My first solo trip was bittersweet for me. I always go with my mini me, so going alone was rough at first. I am super shy and timid around huge crowds alone. I took tons of pictures, rode all the rides I want, sat and people watched, walked in the shops and really paid attention to details in them. You will enjoy yourself. It's a great stress relief. I forgot about people thinking I was weird being alone, or riding alone since I used the single rider line a lot. Just take your time. You'll have a blast and be going solo more then you think. - LuvsTigger

That's awesome! I hope this will be the first of many so my pass doesn't go to waste!! :D - checkmarkedheart 3.5 #17509 6:32PM
I am actually looking forward to my birthday this year. Making it a solo trip to the park. :) - LuvsTigger 309.1 #564 6:37PM
The first time I was going to go solo to Disneyland, I was bummed because I thought I wouldn't have a very good time by myself. But, it turned out that I had such a blast! Although I love going with my friends, there's something about just being able to go where you want to go without saying, "where we going next", or "what attraction do you want to visit now", etc.. You'll have a phenomenal time!! Promise!! - DisneyDavidEMT

Yay! I'm super excited now to venture to disneyland on my own now!! After reading everyone's comments I can't wait! I will be taking my time around the park!! - checkmarkedheart 3.5 #17509 6:33PM
We're renewing our APs when we move to SoCal in June, and I'm looking forward to my first solo trip. I could see myself having a BLAST w/o two toddlers and a husband who tires out early. I'm also looking forward to my first date night w/ my hubby in the parks. We've only been with babies in tow! - MommaMel

Something else to think of for those who might be self conscious about being alone. Unless someone is following you around the whole day (which is creepy right there, so you should probably contact security! LOL), I don't think most people would even notice or care that you are alone. We all pay more attention to ourselves than anyone else ever does. So just act normal, even if you don't feel it, and eventually it will feel right. Does that make sense? - meridafan

... a conversation with the woman in front of me. She said she wished she could go solo sometimes. You'd be surprised how many people will envy you! - JustCantWait 778.6 #121 7:03PM
Totally does!! I figured most people won't notice. I can't wait! - checkmarkedheart 3.5 #17509 9:59PM
And go on the rides in the single rider line thats the best part - foundpluto
