First time poster here I appreciate all the inside tips. Can anyone fill me in on what food/drinks are allowed to be brought into the park? On a tight budget and taking my granddaughter for her first visit soon.

Snacks and drinks of any kind except glass or anything alcoholic (obviously) ;) we bring juice boxes, pb&j, pretzels, trail mix, granola bars, fruit snacks, lollipops stuff like that. Also, don't forget your hot cocoa packets and tea! You can get free hot water from any counter service restaurant. Oh, and ice water as well. Hope you have a lovely time! And welcome to the lounge! - Duchess_SMK  3290.2 #11 10:58AM
I had no idea you could get hot water. What a great piece of info. 😃My daughter loves hot chocolate but it can get expensive to buy. - PrincessAuroraMomma  393.1 #340 11:05AM
Yes ma'am too much for us! This tip has saved us a fortune. - Duchess_SMK  3290.2 #11 11:23AM
Thanks for the tip - disneygirl74  6.7 #8379 11:24AM
very nice to know we bring all sorts of snacks too,we should do a snack meet up trade off lol - pikarich  611.1 #178 12:37PM
I like this idea pikarich! - Duchess_SMK  3290.2 #11 2:08PM
Thanks! I didn't know either! You just saved my diet! LOL thx! - the7santas  19.3 #5124 2:52PM
What they said. 👆 Plus, no coolers. - SneakyStella  292.9 #656 10:59AM
You can bring soft coolers, we do it all the time. As long as they are not ridiculously big. - Duchess_SMK  3290.2 #11 11:03AM
We bring a small soft side one with an ice pack and have never been told no. - PrincessAuroraMomma  393.1 #340 11:06AM
Huh, that's odd, I do it almost every trip. I guess it depends on the cm :( - Duchess_SMK  3290.2 #11 11:10AM
I just bring my son's soft lunch bag with an ice pack. They don't say anything. Maybe a couple of those would work. - aidensmama  336.5 #445 12:42PM
We have a cooler that is a backpack and is soooo much easier to carry! The plastic inside liner zips out for easy drying and we take all sorts of snacks in it. Really keeps stuff cold! - cinderelli  325.7 #495 2:39PM
I have taken subway and uncrustables into the park as well as chips, soda and other snacks. - aidensmama  336.5 #445 10:55AM
Anything except alcohol, and glass - Villescas8(V8)  589.1 #185 10:56AM
👆 This covers it! - LaPearleNoir  573.6 #192 10:58AM
Yup sadly you can't bring in yoo-hoo - AshleyLynn22  747.6 #136 11:00AM
Just about anything. Drink can only be in a plastic bottle I believe. And no alcohol can be brought onto the premises. Have fun. 😁 - Waites4DodgerEars  659.2 #158 10:58AM
You can actually bring cans I do all the time with no problem. - leafs17  61.7 #3546 3:06PM
also, bring your own water / reusable water bottle because it aint cheap inside the parks! (the water fountain around it a small world area is nice (the one where Merida enters the cast member only access) - otilegna  862.2 #106 11:04AM
Take your own water bottle--you can refill it from the tap/soda fountain at Plaza Inn, Rancho del Zocalo, and Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta to name a few places! The water is cold and tastes better than the water at the typical drinking fountain, in my opinion. - IDVandalSkipperCM  1296.5 #63 11:11AM
Good tips. Welcome to MW! - Song  875.7 #103 11:12AM
There is also filtered water in the babycare center to fill up waterbottles and they have a microwave! - belle0785  77.0 #3323 12:02PM
Don't, however, try to bring a whole birthday cake. Cupcakes, though, seem fine. - bluefairy  627.1 #174 12:16PM
°o°Welcome°o°. I bring nuts, beef Jerky, a refillable water bottle and sometimes dried fruit. I used to bring Cheerios when the kids were little - E-Ticket  772.4 #128 12:25PM
Welcome to the party !! We always fill a backpack up (that I get to carry) full if all kinds of snacks .. Everything from fruit snacks to trail mix and even a bit of candy. - EdLovesAlvena  134.3 #2530 12:45PM
I don't like bringing snacks, disrupts my corn dog cravings. - madsdad  1124.9 #73 12:46PM

Two words: BYOB - Mouse4life  1065.8 #80 2:21PM
We always bring a bag with cliff bars (kid kind and adult kind), apple sauce pouches, fruit leathers/fruit twists, trail mix, fruit chews as a treat, bottles of water, couple cans of Diet Coke if my husband wants some. I'm sure ther is other stuff but I can't think of them right now. We don't bring whole meals, we enjoy the treat of getting something in the park but we bring lots of snacks because the choices are either silly expensive if it's healthier (have you seen the price of a single apple!) or just plain junk food which is good for a treat but not for snacking on all day (we get some butfor instance we share a single cotton candy between 4 of us because the kids really do not need their own). - Autoalice  135.7 #2508 2:46PM
Here is a FAQ on disney's site about what is/not permitted. I found it a bit humorous http://disneyland.disney.go.com/faq/parks/#parks-q12 - the7santas  19.3 #5124 2:57PM
Well I guess I won't bring my pogo stick, hand cuffs, urn with crated remains, nor my frisbee - Villescas8(V8)  589.1 #185 3:03PM
I always fill a backpack with an ice pack and frozen water bottles which also holds our lunch for the day. Last visit we had chicken salad sandwiches, chips, apples, and Capri suns. I then pack lots of snacks and candy. I carry another backpack to transfer my goodies into so im not carrying heavy weight all day. Feeding an entire family of six gets pricey for sure. - kueenofhearts  209.3 #1502 3:00PM
