Quick question!! We're thinking of maybe going to DL at the end of febuary but we need to find a nice CHEAP hotel/motel to stay and don't kno which one!! Can anyone recommend one please?? We usually stay at one of the Disney hotels but we don't have that kind of $$ this time!!
I'm going to say the HoJo...but what is your definition of cheap? - Linzee

I've stayed at the motel 6 and it was fine. Art picks you up right there, too. I think that's your cheapest bet... - DLlovingMommy27

The HOJO is wonderful! However, if you are on a budget try going on Bookit.com and get the 3 star mystery hotel! It's usually the clarion! It's no Grand Californian but its good! Also you can walk across the street to the toy story lot which is very convenient - AshleyLynn22

Not bad... $90 a night but then there's parking too. Looking for spring break. - LaPearleNoir 621.4 #180 8:43PM
I usually stay at the Abby's Anaheimer Inn for about $57 a night. Also try the La Quinta on Clementine. You can also use the Corporate code LOVES for a discount at La Quinta. - Armenda

Are these walking distance? - LaPearleNoir 621.4 #180 8:07PM
Abby's Anaheimer Inn is at Katella & Walnut. Not too far from the parking structure. You could walk there and catch the tram. La Quinta is by the Toy Story lot, you could walk there and catch the bus or walk since you are about 2 blocks from the entrance. You can also buy ART passes at La Quinta and they pick up just outside the hotel. - Armenda 1059.7 #82 8:36PM
Last year, I spent 41 out of 42 of my Anaheim motel stays at Motel6. I would say try HoJo first as they are generous sponsors of MW but M6 may be an option for you as well. I am staying there next week for $52 a night for a two queen room with mini fridge. - MrsMears

Is it close to the park? Walking distance? - LaPearleNoir 621.4 #180 8:08PM
It's about a 15 walk to the park. Art stops right at the main office and parking is free for those that drive. - MrsMears 214.5 #1456 8:17PM
Thanks. It's priced at $95 for the nights I'm looking at. - LaPearleNoir 621.4 #180 8:44PM
I've stayed at Castle Inn and Suites twice. It is across the street from DCA. 10 min walk to gate. It was a nice economy place to just sleep. - missyandpaul

How do you get such a good rate. My offers keep getting declined. - LaPearleNoir 621.4 #180 8:42PM
We just keep trying and trying, it actually comes up as I think it's city of orange or disneyland area. We usually do it like the week before. Go up like a buck at a time. - chorizo11 83.4 #3284 10:38PM
We do too. Sometimes you have to pay parking, especially on hotels over 3.5 stars. There is a message board that will teach you how to bid multiple times and everyone posts wining bids and their strategies. DM me if you are interested (not sure if I can post it here) - AZDisney 256.1 #966 7:49AM

Days Inn and Suites at 1111 s Harbor is a 10 min walk, they also have their own free shuttle running hourly or ART stops in front of the hotel if you want to pay for shuttle. We go through priceline and it's always less than $60. Nice view of fireworks from parking lot and free but not exciting breakfast. Fridge and microwave in room. Located very close to HOJO. I'd prefer HOJO but this helps us stay longer and enjoy DL. - MamaRoo

I stayed at the Motel 6 maingate on Disney way and it was just renovated so a lot nicer than you think a Motel 6 would be! I would definitely recommend it if you don't mind walking 10-15 minutes or paying for the ART buses. I was very tired of walking back and forth after the first day, but then again I'm not much of a walker unless its in Disneyland :) - MagicalMadMadam

I was tempted to do this once but at the 24 hour Ihop. I could go in and spencer could sleep in the van for a few hours and then he would go in and I would sleep. Lol. But then we decided to go go super 8 - ImAlwaysCrazy 646.1 #172 11:15PM
If you don't mind driving like 10-15 min. The akua motor inn is like $40 during the week and $42 on weekends. They are clean but the beds are firm and I would suggest bringing a blanket or asking for like 5 more because they are thin. But it's the cheapest one around compared to hotels right around Disneyland. The cheapest we have found within walking distance to Disney is super 8 - ImAlwaysCrazy

Grrr! Bosses are the worst sometimes! Don't they realize how important DL is? LOL. Well, at least you get Dapper Day. That sounds like fun! - meridafan 1101.0 #74 9:17AM
