Good morning! This day in Disney history, Jan 21st 1956. The Dairy Bar in Tomorrowland, sponsored by The American Dairy Association, opens in Disneyland. From what I read, Walt needed money & the American Dairy Association stepped up to the plate. Using the slogan, “Today’s Food Builds Tomorrow’s Man,” the exhibit offered information about future farming. Before partaking in a glass of “Nature’s most nearly perfect food” at the Dairy Bar. Wow! That's way before my time. I think this takes retro to a new level. But like much of what began for Walt in Disneyland, it was experimental to a certain extent. Remember, nothing like Disneyland had been conceived at this scale. With so many new risks, there were some good and some bad attempts.
