strange question but I thought someone here might know, you know at the park entrance there was that whistle type sound as your card or ticket was read? is that the same sound that the parrot makes at pirates of the carribean as you are finishing the ride?

That iPhone sound is actually what made me think of it! I heard it just before we came to Disney and was waiting in line for pirates and did a double take hearing the parrot make the same noise! - carfaf

No, it isn't. The whistle at the turnstyle is a softer and lighter sound. The parrot in POTC is a more shrill sound. It sounds much more like a parrot whistle. - MyPark

A few years ago, my whole family went to the parks together, and as we were waiting to get in to DCA, my dad says "who keeps whistling? It's getting annoying!" He didn't realize it was the tickets! Now it's my alert for a text message and it reminds me of that moment :-) - minniemommy
