Here's a question. What is the scariest ride you went on at Disneyland when you were younger?

Oh man, my parents and grandparents took my sister and I to Disneyland when I was 5 and she was 3. We got on Pirates and I distinctly remember being on the floor of the boat next to my dad's legs almost the entire ride. My dad kept laughing and telling me to stand up, I would get up for a second and then get too scared and drop back down. I kept telling my mom and dad that I was playing hide and seek with the pirates but was actually scared to death hahaha. Now it's one of my favorite rides :) - Pipmeister  114.9 #3202 4:24PM
I was a big chicken when I was young, so I was scared of a lot of the rides! Lol! I remember my dad taking me on Big Thunder and just hiding in his lap covering my eyes and screaming. - BettyPoop  237.4 #1414 4:13PM
The Matterhorn bobsleds, the red glowing eyes always freaked me out! - MJmouse  274.3 #1030 4:16PM
When I was maybe 8, I was mostly afraid of the big rides. My grandma thought it would be fun to bring me on Haunted Mansion because its a smaller ride. But I was terrified! I hated the elevator and I hated the pictures so much I didn't even go on the ride!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ thankfully over that fear now! Haha but it traumatized me for a while! - MagicalMadMadam  231.7 #1503 4:18PM
Adventures Through Inner Space...I really believed you got shrunk πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚ - ElectricMayhemMom  1015.8 #166 4:20PM
Yep, totally agree...that giant eye freaked me out!! - Linzee  1034.9 #161 4:56PM
I am SOOOO with you on this! That ride was beyond creepy! - cmogo  74.4 #3849 5:08PM
I believed they really shrunk you and thought it was so awesome! It was my favorite ride - Seacow  486.1 #392 9:08AM
I wasn't scared of any of the rides when I was a kid. - MeridaFan  3512.3 #33 4:23PM
Same here. I was scared the first time on tower of terror and Screamin' but after that they are my favorites. - Plumiegirl  8572.9 #3 5:39PM
This^^^. First time on Screamin' scared me pretty bad but I went on it again right after and then I was fine. - BrerRabbit  358.9 #590 6:25PM
Also the queue for Indy terrified me! - BettyPoop  237.4 #1414 4:25PM
No, it's still creepy.. especially at night during off-season and there's hardly anyone else nearby in the queue - MEHlanie_Mouse  1114.5 #140 12:50AM
Bobsleds for sure!! - PWBeans  14.4 #7919 4:34PM
The Disneyland Skyway always scared me. No walk off on that one!! - DisneyDavidEMT  2059.0 #64 4:44PM
I'm with you on that one ! - snakeinmyboot40  394.0 #524 4:49PM
It was at WDW Space Mountain. I was really little; small enough to sit in my dad's lap and when we hit the "dip", I raised up out of my seat. Felt like I was going to fly out. Or maybe it was false memory? Did the seats allow you lap sitting since it is single seating like Splash Mtn? - Alicewhoareyou  1573.7 #90 4:48PM
Matterhorn! I was only 5 years old, after that all I wanted to ride were the tea cups😌 - princessb5  175.5 #2218 4:54PM
I still remember being afraid of the ghosts popping up from behind the tombstones in the Haunted Mansion. I covered my eyes and peeked out every now and then. - Vegan7LuvsStitch  1009.3 #167 5:09PM
Oh, yes! And the bride's beating heart! - Alicewhoareyou  1573.7 #90 5:10PM
Space Mountain. I was hidden in the dads arm the whole time. After our ride, the car went through the loading dock making me think we were going again and I was about to freak out even more. They actually pulled it in some side area and we got off there. Now I'm trying to decide when to take my kiddo without having her have a bad experience. Leaving it up to her right now. - LuvsTigger  1246.0 #117 5:29PM
Mr toads wild ride!! I totally thought I died and went to H E double hockey sticks. scariest moment of my life as I screamed to my doom. - kristian  1991.5 #67 5:31PM
I'm with you... Mr Toads was the only ride that terrified me!! I came from a large Pentecostal Holy Roller family and as a kid I thought just riding that ride was a sin! Lol - hatgal76  441.3 #449 5:43PM
I was scared of Splash Mountain. I went on with my cousins once and I was pretty sure that the only reason I didn't fly out of the log was because my cousin was holding onto me. I was about 10 at the time. - nerdgirl  82.4 #3719 5:42PM
Wasn't sacred of any of them. Couldn't get enough! - dimplesdanie  1236.7 #119 5:45PM
Me too! I'm racking my brain, but I can't think of anything I was scared of! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  576.3 #320 6:07PM
When I was little? It was Mr. Toad's. I really thought the place was on fire and I couldn't stop crying. - aidensmama  340.1 #642 5:51PM
I was so afraid of Pirates of the Caribbean as a child, the dark was not my friend. And don't even get me started about Haunted Mansion and Screamin'... Didn't ride either of those until I was 14... - 1000dreams.come.true  49.7 #4485 6:12PM
The Rocket... Old one... Felt so high and I felt like I was going to fall out! - mickeyminnie  321.7 #722 6:18PM
I was completely terrified when I got off of Mr Toad's. I just remember loud noises from the ride and I haven't ridden it since. - leftmyheartinwonderland  359.9 #587 6:47PM
The thought of Haunted Mansion and Alice in Wonderland scared me...didn't ride either until I was about 13. - MissAmericaSings  381.2 #540 7:05PM
My 6 yr. old is the same when it comes to these two rides. Although last month it did look like he got over his fear of Alice in Wonderland. - Witchie77  339.9 #643 7:31PM
Does everyone think I'm creepy? - Alicewhoareyou  1573.7 #90 7:32PM
Awe, poor Alice! - SneakyStella  321.9 #720 10:02AM
Not a ride but its tough to be a bug scared me so bad I cried. I'm terrified of spiders and nobody told me it had spiders. It was only like 3 years ago but that counts as younger, right? - girlzstylin  227.6 #1549 7:42PM
I don't like its tough to be a bug because if the wasp part. I did not enjoy that part at all. - aidensmama  340.1 #642 7:45PM
I am with you-I hate that show! - missyandpaul  269.1 #1090 11:55PM
No, I hate the part that pokes you in the back. It felt like someone jabbed a stick into my spine. Not a pleasant feeling. - aidensmama  340.1 #642 12:04AM
space mountain...it was sooooo scary its my fav now - disneyonthebrain  141.3 #2758 12:02AM
I can't think of any rides I was scared of except the ride home. My dad sometimes fell asleep while driving. πŸš—πŸ˜΄ - DLandDan  198.4 #1922 12:20AM
That is scary. I once crashed my car from driving overly tired and I didn't even fall asleep. - aidensmama  340.1 #642 12:21AM
Thankfully we never had an accident. We would take turns staying awake with him to make sure he didn't fall asleep. - DLandDan  198.4 #1922 12:30AM
Finally rode Screamin recently after some courage juice, and peer pressure ( you know who you are) I was so incredibly scared. but now I love it! - tuesday737  1254.8 #116 12:32AM
Snow Whites Scary Adventure and Pinocchio's Daring Journey used to scare me when I was little.. I'm still not fond of Snow While lol - MEHlanie_Mouse  1114.5 #140 12:52AM
None of them scared me but when we went on the Sky Buckets my Dad would pretend to rock it and my Mom would totally Freak out!😱 - Boundin  593.7 #308 12:57AM
The haunted mansion scared me to death! My grandpa used to sit outside with me while my whole family went on the ride. Finally when I was 12 my cousin convinced me to go but she had to hold my hand the entire ride - Queenof2princesses  259.6 #1177 4:19AM
Matterhorn scared the crap out of me when I was little. - skywalker661  231.2 #1506 4:41AM
Me too - E-Ticket  1320.5 #110 8:46AM
haunted mansion. i closed my eyes the whole ride. :0) - OhanaPhoto  3604.2 #30 8:43AM
I don't remember being scared of anything when I was a kid, but for some reason I am now scared of BTMRR & the Matterhorn. 😝 - Fanatic4Disney  268.3 #1101 8:54AM
Snow White n mr toad are SOOOOO scary!!! I was scared as a child n my daughter is also scared of these rides. I seriously close my eyes when the devil n witch parts come up. - bippityboppityrosie  7.9 #11601 9:05AM
None of them scared me as a kid, but as an adult riding space mountain with the lights on really scared me. No more putting my hands up on that ride - Seacow  486.1 #392 9:11AM
When I was younger, my mom told me she would get me the big 101 Dalmatians lollipop that looked like a bone if I went on splash mountain. I wanted that lollipop so bad, so I did. We went down the big drop and my little self was so shocked and so terrified, I hated it! I thought, "well at least I get my lollipop." The lollipop was disgusting. What a bummer :P - REDBigBadWolf  127.7 #2959 9:23AM
Great question! So my brother made my aunts wait in a 45 min line for casey jr train on a nice sweltering hot day. When it was time to get on board he freaked out and cried b/c he scared of the animals....my aunt was like "oh no u didnt" & made him get on tears and all. He got ice cream afterward and will never live it down. - missariel33  1946.9 #71 9:33AM
the sky way always made me kinda scared. Always wondered if they had checked everything out ok before starting - nitromouse  285.4 #930 9:44AM
Space mountain when I was 5. I was so scarred t first and then we rode it back to back, 4 times in a row! Loved it ever since - FoolishMortal138  353.3 #605 10:14AM

Disneyland unFORECAST (BETA) is here! Top MouseWaiters giving you the rundown of what's happening at the Disneyland Resort. The unFORECAST now has its own page on the web www.unFORECAST.com

unFORECAST for the week of Monday April 20, 2015

CROWD PREDICTION: Back to short hours this week, and based on our Historical Crowd Index, we see mid-70s with crowds decreasing through the end of the month. There is also a chance of rain toward the end of the week which could throw a wrench in things. Friday and Sunday's have been the busiest days, but rain on Friday could cause the crowds to be significantly less. Have a great weekend! - Admin Apr 21, 2015 11:28AM

We have always noticed that Saturdays are better than Sundays! We always come on the weekend and say we want to leave at dinner time on Sunday, but always leave by 11-12 because there are so many people. We love Saturday!! - 1Princess3Princes  373.0 #559 5:39PM
I agree. I think it has to do with most passes being blocked - PoohSizedGuy  18.5 #6933 11:53PM

http://cchealth.org/eh/retail-food/dog-law-faq.php Β  I know folks love theiri pets but I still do not think this is sanitary Β from a food perspective. See the url for CA law. Unless they provide a designated pet area outside, dogs cannot lick the plates/utensils, who cleans up after a dog accident......No pets in at a restaurant for now (service dogs are the exception). Disney is excellent with their food cleanliness in the parks per the Public health inspections. DTD does not fare as well per Retaurarant inspection. Check the Health Care Agency for the current restaurant inspections. As a Public health nurse I always check to see who is keeping clean in their kitchens. Diners beware! - Plumiegirl  8572.9 #3 10:42AM
