Here's a question. What is the scariest ride you went on at Disneyland when you were younger?

Oh man, my parents and grandparents took my sister and I to Disneyland when I was 5 and she was 3. We got on Pirates and I distinctly remember being on the floor of the boat next to my dad's legs almost the entire ride. My dad kept laughing and telling me to stand up, I would get up for a second and then get too scared and drop back down. I kept telling my mom and dad that I was playing hide and seek with the pirates but was actually scared to death hahaha. Now it's one of my favorite rides :) - Pipmeister  114.9 #3330 4:24PM
I was a big chicken when I was young, so I was scared of a lot of the rides! Lol! I remember my dad taking me on Big Thunder and just hiding in his lap covering my eyes and screaming. - BettyPoop  237.5 #1500 4:13PM
The Matterhorn bobsleds, the red glowing eyes always freaked me out! - MJmouse  288.9 #981 4:16PM
When I was maybe 8, I was mostly afraid of the big rides. My grandma thought it would be fun to bring me on Haunted Mansion because its a smaller ride. But I was terrified! I hated the elevator and I hated the pictures so much I didn't even go on the ride!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ thankfully over that fear now! Haha but it traumatized me for a while! - MagicalMadMadam  233.0 #1570 4:18PM
Adventures Through Inner Space...I really believed you got shrunk πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚ - ElectricMayhemMom  1435.0 #119 4:20PM

I'm with you on that one ! - snakeinmyboot40  394.0 #571 4:49PM
It was at WDW Space Mountain. I was really little; small enough to sit in my dad's lap and when we hit the "dip", I raised up out of my seat. Felt like I was going to fly out. Or maybe it was false memory? Did the seats allow you lap sitting since it is single seating like Splash Mtn? - Alicewhoareyou  2550.5 #53 4:48PM
Matterhorn! I was only 5 years old, after that all I wanted to ride were the tea cups😌 - princessb5  190.9 #2104 4:54PM
I still remember being afraid of the ghosts popping up from behind the tombstones in the Haunted Mansion. I covered my eyes and peeked out every now and then. - Vegan7LuvsStitch  1026.3 #178 5:09PM
Oh, yes! And the bride's beating heart! - Alicewhoareyou  2550.5 #53 5:10PM
Space Mountain. I was hidden in the dads arm the whole time. After our ride, the car went through the loading dock making me think we were going again and I was about to freak out even more. They actually pulled it in some side area and we got off there. Now I'm trying to decide when to take my kiddo without having her have a bad experience. Leaving it up to her right now. - LuvsTigger  1630.9 #103 5:29PM
Mr toads wild ride!! I totally thought I died and went to H E double hockey sticks. scariest moment of my life as I screamed to my doom. - kristian  2004.9 #79 5:31PM
I'm with you... Mr Toads was the only ride that terrified me!! I came from a large Pentecostal Holy Roller family and as a kid I thought just riding that ride was a sin! Lol - hatgal76  449.8 #489 5:43PM
I was scared of Splash Mountain. I went on with my cousins once and I was pretty sure that the only reason I didn't fly out of the log was because my cousin was holding onto me. I was about 10 at the time. - nerdgirl  86.0 #3821 5:42PM
Wasn't sacred of any of them. Couldn't get enough! - dimplesdanie  1236.9 #138 5:45PM

When I was little? It was Mr. Toad's. I really thought the place was on fire and I couldn't stop crying. - aidensmama  340.3 #704 5:51PM
I was so afraid of Pirates of the Caribbean as a child, the dark was not my friend. And don't even get me started about Haunted Mansion and Screamin'... Didn't ride either of those until I was 14... - 1000dreams.come.true  49.7 #4794 6:12PM
The Rocket... Old one... Felt so high and I felt like I was going to fall out! - mickeyminnie  322.6 #793 6:18PM

The thought of Haunted Mansion and Alice in Wonderland scared me...didn't ride either until I was about 13. - MissAmericaSings  405.8 #553 7:05PM
My 6 yr. old is the same when it comes to these two rides. Although last month it did look like he got over his fear of Alice in Wonderland. - Witchie77  374.5 #606 7:31PM
Does everyone think I'm creepy? - Alicewhoareyou  2550.5 #53 7:32PM
Awe, poor Alice! - SneakyStella  321.9 #796 10:02AM
Not a ride but its tough to be a bug scared me so bad I cried. I'm terrified of spiders and nobody told me it had spiders. It was only like 3 years ago but that counts as younger, right? - girlzstylin  227.6 #1639 7:42PM
I don't like its tough to be a bug because if the wasp part. I did not enjoy that part at all. - aidensmama  340.3 #704 7:45PM
I am with you-I hate that show! - missyandpaul  285.8 #1004 11:55PM

That is scary. I once crashed my car from driving overly tired and I didn't even fall asleep. - aidensmama  340.3 #704 12:21AM
Thankfully we never had an accident. We would take turns staying awake with him to make sure he didn't fall asleep. - DLandDan  198.4 #2009 12:30AM
Finally rode Screamin recently after some courage juice, and peer pressure ( you know who you are) I was so incredibly scared. but now I love it! - tuesday737  1283.4 #134 12:32AM

None of them scared me as a kid, but as an adult riding space mountain with the lights on really scared me. No more putting my hands up on that ride - Seacow  486.1 #437 9:11AM
When I was younger, my mom told me she would get me the big 101 Dalmatians lollipop that looked like a bone if I went on splash mountain. I wanted that lollipop so bad, so I did. We went down the big drop and my little self was so shocked and so terrified, I hated it! I thought, "well at least I get my lollipop." The lollipop was disgusting. What a bummer :P - REDBigBadWolf  127.7 #3075 9:23AM
Great question! So my brother made my aunts wait in a 45 min line for casey jr train on a nice sweltering hot day. When it was time to get on board he freaked out and cried b/c he scared of the animals....my aunt was like "oh no u didnt" & made him get on tears and all.
