Question, what is MW etiquette when recognizing MWers while in the parks, but you've never met them? I wanted to say hi but didn't want to be creepy.

I was kinda being cool with the guy, although I thought it was creepy. Dave called him out, and the whole thing just evolved from there. The guy's username is "mainstusa". First, look for anyone who has a white iPhone cable coming out of either their pocket or bag. Also, a dead giveaway is that they're either staring down at their phone most of the time and/or are quickly walking up to an attraction, look down at their phone and continue to walk away to the next attraction. Honestly, just introduce yourself. Most people will reciprocate. If you've stumbled upon an open meetup, you can join in if you want. If it isn't, after you've exchanged pleasantries, unless you receive an invitation ("hey, we're going to space mountain next, DO YOU WANT TO COME?" that last part is important 😜) assume that you will part ways. Try not to take that personally. Sometimes people just want to spend time with their families/friends or are playing tour guide, nothing wrong with that. 😊 - bluefairy

I've only met a few and felt weird everytime ive walked up to them. I dont want to bother anyone or intrude in their personal space, so not sure if giving hugs or hand shakes is always a good idea. I just watch them walk by sometimes standing still like a dork. Hopefully as time goes on, ill be more confident and just say hi. - pinkmonkeys

I'm work at an elementary school and sometimes the kids tell me they saw me somewhere. I get panicky because I don't know what I was doing, with whom, and if any of that can be misconstrued!
