Interesting, not sure why they would paint it, I thought it looked just fine before. - Sarafina

Maybe the have a paint budget through the year, and were trying not to have a surplus?😕 - LittleAprilShowers 471.0 #256 6:27PM
I think it looks really good, the plain beige was a little boring - Pipmeister

Agree with you totally! A little more vintage, plus it matches the brick on street! - Willierose 1173.2 #68 12:36PM
Interesting color choice.... - Duchess_SMK

I think it may look a little odd by itself, but I'll bet it will look better in context with the surrounding buildings. Thanks, BBM - JRDrummer_CM

I prefer this over just the plain beige. I'm guessing they're trying to go for a brick look so they might still not be done with it. - TikiJOSEsWingman

Interesting. I think I'd have to see this in person to get the real feel. Could you get a shot with the surrounding buildings, too? That might give a good reference... Thanks! - IDVandalSkipperCM

the Hyperion Bridge now looks lively!, but they should choose the "International Orange" paint as a nod to the old bridge that was standing there before, The Golden Gate Bridge! (in my opinion). But at least, they make it more colorful! - otilegna

but also, the "International Orange" is too much Red! - otilegna 852.6 #106 6:03PM
When was it painted? We were there the other day. - Winnie111286

I gotta say I'm not a fan. It doesn't look like an original LA bridge anymore. Not a fan of the sponge paint look either. But oh well.... I wonder if it really is that noticeable when youre there. - joybells

Yeah, I thought this bridge was based on a real one in the l.a. Area. I wonder what the actual color was in the 30s... - bluefairy 627.0 #173 1:23AM
