I have a question for all you savvy people. I have a premium pass now and next year we are in the planning stages for a Disneyworld trip for for 4-5 days. Would it be economical to upgrade to a premiere pass next year? Thanks!!

While there is no payment plan for the premiere, if you get the plan on your premium first and then upgrade, you are only responsible for the difference at that time and can continue making payments on the balance. If you are going to need tickets costing more than $200-250 per person, then yes, an upgrade is well worth the money. I am upgrading for my trip in march. 😉 - bluefairy  627.1 #174 4:37PM
Yup thats what i did - CptKirk  697.0 #141 4:43PM

From talking to guests who are going to WDW like you, yes it is better to upgrade to the Premiere AP. That way, you are not blocked out from none of the parks and also get discounts from food and stores. Only bad thing is there are no monthly payment plans for the Premiere AP - BaseballMickey_CM  2829.1 #16 4:22PM
Awesome! Thanks! - minnieMisty  214.9 #1419 4:26PM
It might... depends. Seems like this is a matter of mathematics. Figure out how much it will cost for the 4 or 5 day hoppers at WDW, then compare that to the cost of the difference of a Premiere pass. Also factor in how many times you will be visiting DLR (California) and whether you may want to plan another WDW trip. As a rule, if you are planning more than one WDW trip in a year, the Premiere is not a bad deal. - MyPark  943.8 #91 4:25PM
So looks like its a $200 difference in passes and a 4-day ticket is $256. Looks like premiere is the best bet! Thanks for the idea! 😁 - minnieMisty  214.9 #1419 4:30PM
Yes there r monthy payments for premiere AP they take my money once a month. - gwynniebell23  10.1 #6739 4:27PM
Premiere or premium? They take payments for premium - minnieMisty  214.9 #1419 4:29PM
Re:payment: if you have the premium already on month to month you pay the upgrade difference. We got our contract for the premieum so we could have the monthly then upgraded to premier. You cannot pay for the premier straight up month to month. Hope that made sense :) - Lola027  444.9 #277 4:34PM
So is it better to re-new my premium then later upgrade to premiere? You just pay the difference, but no more payments? TIA - minnieMisty  214.9 #1419 4:37PM
I would say yes :) you still have the payments on schedule and you only pay the upgrade difference. Your expiration stays the same though :) - Lola027  444.9 #277 4:43PM
Awesome! Thanks for that! - minnieMisty  214.9 #1419 4:46PM
We are also premium ap holders and are going to disneyworld this summer and seeing how long we will be there (10 days) so upgrading to premier is he only way to go for us. - dadcanevari  28.1 #4467 12:43PM
Just so you all know there are not that many discounts on food, the pass is good for the parks, parking and shopping but next to nothing for food, get wdw's list of discounts for the pass before you go, I found out when I was there and asked city hall - Mypuppluto  3.4 #17992 12:53PM
