I have a question :) why do you love disneyland? Is there a favorite memory or feeling? I personally love it because all my stress goes away :D

Honestly I never was really into Disney. I got my pass because a bunch of us decided on it as a friend group thing to spend more time together. I fell In love though. They never renewed and I did and found new friends to go with then I found mw and even better. I love it now - Hendizl  2561.6 #43 4:58PM

Exactly! - MrsSchnooks  3009.8 #38 4:57PM
I grew up in the 60's when the best animated movies were Disney, "The Wonderful World of Disney" was on every Sunday night and The Mickey Mouse Club was on every afternoon. My parents and I would go to DL at least twice a year and I learned early it was The Best amusement park, the only one where you were truly immersed in magic. I always had a large DL map on my wall which I would use to give "tours" to my friends who couldn't go. I had an early goal in life: to work there, which I did. Disney has always been a part of my life, and my trips there are filled with so many wonderful memories...it is my happy place. - Gia  802.0 #202 7:02PM
I love Disneyland bc I was able to take my grandfather on his first and last coaster ride before he passed away. Its a memory I will never forgot, he laughed the whole time on thunder mountain, he was in his 80's when I took him on that ride. A special moment him and I shared. Miss you lolo. Thank you Disney for that. - TheWifeAkaLeia  72.8 #3865 8:34PM
Aw, how special! We took my husband's Grammy two years ago--it was such a special trip! I'll never forget taking her on TSMM or riding the Mark Twain! She hadn't been to DL in something like thirty years and was soooo nervous about going on vacation. She gained so much confidence from that trip, though, and just got back from a cruise through the Greek islands and the Vatican. I don't think she would have even considered going on that trip if we hadn't taken her to DL and shown her that she CAN travel and realized that there's so much out there to experience. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  569.8 #320 8:43PM
Someone asked me this question when I first met them and this is what I said. Disneyland is like a home that you've grown up in. It's a place I've been going to since I was a baby and there's not only magic in the park itself but also in being able to point out certain locations and tell a personal story of what happened there. Like .., oh here's where my sister pushed me when I was 7 and skinned my knee... Or here's where I bought my first Carmel apple with my own money I saved up. Disneyland will be constantly changing because Walt said himself that it will never be done, but somehow it stays the same and holds memories while leaving space to create more. Not to mention the food, rides, characters and just plain atmosphere are simply AUHMAZING. - TheREAL-Pocahontas  122.9 #3032 2:39PM
This is why we're homies. - ScubaSteve028  835.7 #192 4:55PM
Hahah 😊best mates. - TheREAL-Pocahontas  122.9 #3032 5:01PM
I love it because it's the one place my dh will leave his work behind, and we are all in the magical bubble of Disneyland. We all just feel close to one another, and the outer world just melts away. - mrstoad  256.1 #1203 2:00PM
It provides a place where I can forget reality and enter a place of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy - BaseballMickey_CM  6782.7 #9 2:18PM
I used to go with my mom about a week or two before school would start. She would let me wear one of my new school outfits. We would get there when it opened and stayed til it closed. We would eat dinner at the Tomorrowland Terrace and watch the band come up from under ground. She would buy me candy dots from the candy store and a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt if it got cold. - TeacherluvsMickey  25.2 #5897 5:47PM
For me it's a combination of nostalgia, ability to leave stress behind, and of course respect for Walt and his continuing influence on my philosophy of life - Drrmddl  175.7 #2206 7:02PM
It helped me get through my husbands deployments. I would go and my mind we clear while I was there instead of dwelling that my husband was gone. My daughter a I would go with our friends and would just have fun. To see her light up in a time when she didn't understand why daddy was at work but couldn't understand why he couldn't come home made every penny of our passes totally worth it. - Queenof2princesses  259.6 #1171 12:11AM
I second that!! I forget bout everything when im there!!;) - PrincessGrace  31.1 #5347 1:25PM

To borrow the thoughts of Rogers and Hammerstein - "How do you solve a problem like Maria? How do you catch a cloud and pin it down? How do you find a word that means Maria? A flibbertijibbet! A will-o'-the wisp! A clown!" There isn't a reason why I love Disneyland. It's Disneyland. Period. - aprilinjune4  483.6 #392 2:01PM
It's like the big bad world (school, work, problems, etc. ) don't exist I'm in Disney mode and I want to never lose that I have the main street house all picked out and just waiting for permission to move in lol - lisaw  139.0 #2794 2:07PM
I like goig because I proposed to my wife here and we always have a blast when we go. now our daughter is starting to understand everything and she gets so excited. - DJBMRIVERS  5.9 #14479 2:09PM
I have to say there is no reason "not" to love Disneyland. There is no place I'd rather be then at the Happiest Place on Earth. All my stress and worries disappear when I am there. - deppfan  16.9 #7221 2:12PM
I love almost everything about it! the storytelling for each attraction, attention to detail, the way the "real world" disappears, and all the magic! The only thing I don't like is leaving. - GoofyMom77  645.2 #273 2:16PM
Because it's amazing. - Jillian  767.1 #214 2:19PM
Disneyland just makes me feel soo free! Free of stress & worries! I can't help but smile as soon as I enter those gates! It truely is the happiest place on earth! Corny but true!! - SarahD005  4.4 #19213 2:30PM
Because it takes me away and makes you forget about the outside world for a little while, because I can act like a kid again and no one will look at me any different, they'll actually understand:) and dont have a problem acting silly with me. But since I can't go to the parks for a while MW is the next best thing! And like you said, it's also a stress reliever:) 🎠🏰✨ - BelleLuver  45.8 #4597 2:31PM
Simply because its magical! Sounds corny but it does so much - Goofymom2  6.7 #12928 2:38PM
Besides the obvious of great attractions and food...I am never more relaxed then I am when I'm at DL....I put any worries or stress aside and just enjoy being a kid again :) - cdeley  471.0 #408 2:51PM
It's my happy place. I've been going to Disneyland since I was a baby. (thank you mom and dad!) Now I spent so much quality time with my kiddos there. It is the best therapy for stress and worries. - Witchie77  325.2 #702 4:10PM
I love it because it represents freedom. It's the one vacation were we get up when we want, see what we want, eat where we want, etc. and don't have to worry about family or friends to coordinate with. - goofykriskid  49.8 #4460 4:28PM
I love everything about it! The smells, the sights, the food, the attractions, everything! The best memories I have with my family are all of our trips to Disneyland, cheerleading competitions there, or when my mom and dad would surprise us and let us skip school. - CountryBearTrixie  210.8 #1772 4:38PM
I love Disneyland because it brings back memories of visiting the park with my family ever since I was a baby. Now that my dad has since passed away I can think of all the memories we made together while visiting the park. - leftmyheartinwonderland  359.9 #585 4:49PM
Dole Whip Floats :) - polo33  63.8 #4069 5:01PM
Well. My first visit to DLand was May 2009. It was a Free 3-Day Park Hopper ticket to me courtesy of the Armed Forces Military Salute (yes, Military ActiveDuty was free that year, the last year of free entrance). Also, it was a celebration of my Sister's Birthday and Mothers Day... And also, that is my first travel outside of SD area after my accident (Feb-Mar2009, i had a medical issue). So going to Disneyland the first time is like a therapy for me... The 3 day visit is kinda short for me so i decided to come back during special events, then Aug. 2010, decided to get a Premium AP because I feel Disney Parks gave me a good happiness, even if i still face some medical issues :) - otilegna  2005.1 #65 5:39PM
It's a fun place I get to go with the kids... where we don't have to worry about homework, housework, work, and we just have fun and I get to be the "fun" mom! - CallMeFlower  422.9 #466 5:41PM
I don't get there as often as I'd like to but it's the only place in my life where I don't have a care in the world. Whenever I do get to come down there I tell people I'm going for my Mickey Mouse attitude adjustment. - chancesr  241.0 #1372 6:04PM
Fell in love my grand night as I walked down Main Street and saw the castle. And after learning more and more bout Walt and this empire I haven't looked back since ! I LOVE DISNEY :))) - Snow33  191.0 #2000 6:05PM
It's the only place where I can act like a kid with my mom and not be judged for doing so,more like encouraged :D I go there and all of my worries magically disappear. - Mepenguin16  168.4 #2322 6:57PM
I agree, Sophia562! All my stress goes away as well! That's why it's MyHappyPlace4ever 😊 - Disneyluvr1976  20.5 #6535 8:01PM
I feel like I'm repeating what everyone else is saying. I'm a single mom who owns her own business. I wasn't even able to afford to take my daughter til she was 16. (And I hadn't been since 1979.) First trip with my daughter, I just fell in love. I could let go of my stress and be a kid with my daughter. I laughed more in three days than I have in my life. πŸ˜ƒ Since then, we have been back two more times and bought passes. We are HOOKED. I dream about it even! - PeachKay  311.1 #765 8:06PM
I hate that bittersweet feeling when you wake up. 😐 - PeachKay  311.1 #765 5:55AM
I have so many memories at Disneyland. Family trips, laughs, the feeling that I'm leaving the real world behind and entering my dream home. What really draws me in is the history behind the park. It just amazes me that Walt was able to create the park just based off of his characters for movies! Everything is so detailed, nothing is done half-way, Disney goes all out on everything. Recently for me, I've been to the parks by myself a lot and it became a place to do some deep thinking. I'm a freshman in college now, but before I applied I was having the hardest time picking a major and figuring out what exactly I wanted to do. I was leaning toward engineering, but really wasn't all that into the idea until a night that I went to go watch WOC by myself. I've seen the show before but something about this one show really hit me. I started looking around at how others reacted to the show; some were laughing, a lot were smiling, and some were even crying. I couldn't believe how much emotion this one show gave off and how truly amazing it is that engineers made this show so beautiful. It was then that I knew I wanted to become an engineer and someday become an imagineer for Disney. I'm now going to college to become a Mechanical Engineer then a Project Manager and I'm so happy with my choice. WOC is special to me now and I always try to watch it each trip! I know this is probably sappy and corny, but that's why I love Disney πŸ‘πŸπŸ° - JoeDownTheRabbitHole  400.3 #508 1:06AM
I honestly never knew until last year...When I went off to college I had a plan of moving to California, going to Whitter, and all that. Then I decided to stay home because it wasn't my time to venture off yet. Last year, being away for a good 5 months I walked through the gates and immediately started crying. I had no idea why, but then I realized... It was because I was home. This is how it felt to go home after being away at college, or at least that's how I associated it. Disneyland is so much more than an amusement park. It's home. It's where things are the same, there's a routine, and it's where I'm safe. Most importantly, now...it's where my MW family is. Nobody will ever understand the unconditional love I have for this group of people. It's crazy and weird...but it makes perfect sense. - AshleyLynn22  791.2 #206 1:22AM
Does anyone else not like the title "amusement park" for it?? It doesn't seem good enough! - PeachKay  311.1 #765 5:54AM
Space Mountain is my therapy& stress reliever. It's the best ride- EVER!!! - Superspacemountainfan  82.8 #3701 1:39AM
My Mom is a complete Disney lover, so our family vacations were always to Disneyland. I have so many wonderful memories of the park. Two of my absolute favorite things are the sounds and smells. The outside world doesn't exist. - dreaminofdisney  7.2 #12243 1:46AM
Besides the fact that it creates wonderful memories, there is just nothing else like it! I've heard people from out of the country complain that Disneyland is a big waste of money and what's the point but I disagree. It creates a ton of jobs and Disneyland has beautified the surrounding area of Anaheim. - kss4tink  218.0 #1667 9:13AM
It is the only time where I am completely relaxed. No stress, no worries, no major responsibilities. Just fun time with my family. I need this vacation more than ever, 11 days. I can't wait!! - MinnieTinker  433.4 #449 9:17AM
