Salutations fellow MWers...Thanks to an awesome friend and fellow MWer beagleboy12/Samuel, I was able to experience the Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue/Limited Time Annual Passholder Magic event on January 12, 2013 at 6:30pm. I have to say that the event was really fantastic and is run pretty smoothly. Folks are given the option of choosing a veggie or meat version of the meal...pictured here is the meat option with black forest ham and roast beef sandwiches with fruit and salads. I thought it was very yummy. There is also all you care to drink soft drinks, coffee, and mint julips during the event. Each person recieves a plastic golden horseshoe filled with Fritos as an appetiter. The service to get all meals out to guests was very quick and smooth. The revue itself was very enjoyable. Lots of awesome dancing, singing, and entertaining guest interaction from the cast. I really got a sense of what Walt Disney was trying to provide his guests with the creation of this show. I really appreciated all the history of the Golden Horseshoe Revue that was shared all throughout the performance. It really seemed that for about 25 minutes we were all transported to the Golden Horseshoe Revue of yesteryear...full of great joy, entertainment, and magic. At the conclusion of the performance, each guest is given a small cake inspired by the one served at Walt and Lillian's 30th wedding anniversary...white and blueberry cake...quite tasty. As you exit the Golden Horseshoe, each guest is given a CD with select recordings from the original revue. Overall, I thought this AP event was truly magical and really made me appreciate all the hard work Walt Disney did in making our special place so magical. :-)

The last show of the day, 6:30pm, is an AP show with dinner service. Tix had to be purchased online...the earlier shows are open to all guests ...guests may go to the podium set in front of the Golden Horseshoe and ask for a voucher to attend 1 of the earlier shows. the earlier shows do not include dinner service but guess may purchase food from the Golden Horseshoe. There are several new items that have been placed on the menu during this run. :-) - uscdisneyteacher 3328.5 #13 10:19AM

Okay, you have convinced me I have to do the reserved AP show! So, do they check your AP at the door? Or just have your ticket you printed out online in advance? Do the tickets show your name? Thanks for the great info! - meridafan

You have to call to get reservations. They had a booth set up right at the Frontierland enterance where you have to check in. Everyone must show their AP and then you get a wristband. Everyone must check in together with the person that made the reservations. You pay up front for everyone when the reservation is made. - caramiapoohAKAface 1526.8 #53 12:08PM
