Does anyone have a Disneyland traditions for when they first get in the park? I know the first thing my wife and I do is head straight to the haunted mansion and ride, it's her favorite ride and a happy wife makes for a good life

My DL traditions have changed over the years. When very young, we headed over to Dumbo first, then a little older it was Matterhorn, and now we usually head directly to Carnation Cafe first! - debbiev

We ask the kids what is the one ride they HAVE to do that day. We make sure to do that one and then from there we take it as it comes. Sometimes it is BTMRR or POTC or Space Mt or Buzz Lightyear. - swvballmom

For awhile it was straight to Star Tours to get a fast pass - usually we go over to indiana jones and if it's not too long of a line we will start there or get a fast pass. It's a must to get caramel kettle corn in downtown disney and I have to stand by the Snow White ride until I see the evil queen pull back the curtains and stare down at the minions!
