Here's my review of the "Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue"... The show is 20-25 minutes in length and features a live band, 5 singers, and 3 dancers. The show is very entertaining and is interactive with the audience and will have you laughing. The costumes are great and take you back in time. I am a big fan of the show that I remember from the 80's and early 90's as it was a staple of every DL visit for my family. I must admit that walking in I was expecting to see that show again and I didn't. This truly is a "salute" rather than the same show. The song choices are fun and the time passes quickly- you don't realize how long it's been. Now a review of the AP Dinner- I was not a fan of the food choices. During the non AP shows there is a menu that you can order from (see my earlier post about the Limited Time Magic Menu). For the AP shows there is a set meal: roast beef sandwich, ham sandwich, fruit salad, carrot salad, potato salad, corn chips, and mint julep (you can see my earlier posts for more food details). If you don't like mint juleps, you can ask for water. Then dessert is a cake inspired by Walt and Lilly's 30th anniversary cake. Overall I didn't hear fantastic statements about the food. The people I was sitting with thought it was ok. AP commemorative keepsakes are a plastic boot shaped container that has the corn chips inside and a CD with the original songs from the original show. Overall the show is definitely worth seeing if you can, but I don't think the AP show is worth the money.
Thanks for the great review. Couple of questions though....how much is the AP dinner? Is the show itself free? - TicTocCroc

There are multiple shows throughout the day that are free. The last show at 6:30 is for APs only and costs $35 and you have to make reservations prior to the day of the show I think (not sure if reservations for the AP show can be made day of or not). You must pay to attend the AP show. - LilSterner 2656.0 #17 11:58PM
Awesome thanks for the info!! - TicTocCroc 233.3 #1194 12:01AM
Thanks. I was thinking about the AP show but now i probably won't. Thanks for saving me some money - Murryd

Oh wow I totally thought the only people who could watch this show were AP's who paid the 35 bucks. I didn't know they were showing it throughout the day so everyone could see. Now paying the 35 just seems silly. - ScubaSteve028

There's 5 shows starting at 11:30 and the last one is 5:15. The AP one is a different meal and you get to keep the plastic boot and a CD. The reservations for the non AP shows can fill up quick but there is a standby Εine for each show. If you can get reservations prior to a show that's recommended. - LilSterner 2656.0 #17 12:09AM
Is that an individual size cake? It's so cute! - cynDOLEwhip

Yes. The cake is individual size. The AP dinner is pre packaged for easy delivery. - LilSterner 2656.0 #17 6:54AM
Thanks for your awesome review! So, do you make non-AP show reservations right there at the Golden Horseshoe? Can you do that right when the park opens? Or do you have to do it closer to the show time? Thanks so much for all your great info and wonderful pix and video! I've enjoyed it all! Can't wait for Feb1st! - meridafan

For the non AP shows you make reservations at the Golden Horseshoe the day of. I would recommend making reservations as early as possible as the shows tend to fill up. - LilSterner 2656.0 #17 9:11AM
