I'm thinking one of the underground tunnels that Jack Duncan is searching in order to save all of our lives and keep Disneyland safe! 👍😉 - MrsPrinceCharming

Wow, this is old!! They built it between Adventureland and Frontierland during the remodel of everything, probably to keep things from falling on people maybe?? - secretagentangel

I read at one time there was a tie between NOS and the HM. There was supposed to be a tunnel from POTC to the HM that lead into the crypts in the HM! Is this it? If so I am so excited!!! - Boundin

just last week there was a post about that, look on shadowgamers posts, he put an address where you can go look at a bunch of cool info on this whole link between NOS POTC and tom Sawyer's Island. - secretagentangel 670.0 #154 1:00AM
I think it was just a proposal by an imagineer as a cost cutting measure. It would have eliminated the Tom Sawyer rafts. They didn't actually build any crypts, tunnels, etc, but the imagineer was so into the idea that they put in what looks like a sealed up opening in NOS when they remodeled that area. - bluefairy 627.2 #174 1:01AM

The HM was originally designed to be a walk through and the idea to walk between POTC and HM made sense at the time. - Boundin

Yes, and there was supposed to have been a ripleys believe it or not type attraction too at one point. The connection to potc didn't really come into play until the late 80s/early 90s though, I think. The guy noticed some things around the park and came up with this little back story. also, when they closed fort wilderness, some of the props were taken to the mansion's attic. I read up on this years ago, so my memory is spotty. - bluefairy 627.2 #174 1:41AM
