Sad news. For you locals and fans of PBS, Huell Howser has passed away. He was the well known host of California's Gold, Visiting, and Road Trips shows. But one of his latest works was for Walt Disney Animation in 2011's Winnie the Pooh as the lovable Backson! He has donated the archives of his shows to Orange County's Chapman University. He will be missed.
Loved his shows. He did a series on the California Missions, which was sponsored by the late mervyn's California. I still show the videos to my 4th grade students. - JKemp

I was so sad to hear it. He just retired too. Didn't even get to enjoy it. I didn't know he was the Bacson! I hope he had fun voicing him.
