I'm taking my son for his 5th birthday to Disneyland we go all the time but since it's his birthday I want it to be more special than it normally is we've done dining with the characters a few times any suggestions?

Have you done the Jedi Training Academy? If he likes Star Wars, that would be fun. And you can take pics! - Alicewhoareyou  536.0 #209 11:18AM
That's a good idea no we've never done that, he's never really seen any of the movies so I'm not sure thanks! - jillyinwonderland  12.0 #6229 11:20AM
Or musical chairs with the Mad Hatter and Alice. Might be even more fun if you tell them it's his birthday, and not his "unbirthday". lol - Alicewhoareyou  536.0 #209 11:25AM
Make sure to get him a birthday button. The CMs are great at making the day special by wishing happy birthday everywhere you go! - AKMouse  376.5 #364 11:22AM
We're definitely going to get the button! Thanks - jillyinwonderland  12.0 #6229 11:22AM
Thanks for posting this!! We're pass holders and go to the park weekly and are taking our daughter for her 5th bday on the 16th also. We are doing the bippity boppity boutique with her (maybe they have something cute for boys?) mainly we're going to let her lead us where to go. It's her day and she knows the park pretty well now so we'll just follow her around. Maybe get one of the drawings done in new Orleans square if you haven't or a silhouette on main st? - Nicole  380.2 #356 11:30AM
Hi. My son is also turning 5 in Feb. Every year we go to the parks for his birthday and try something different. We have celebrated at Plaza Inn, decorating bday cakes. that was a messy yet fun time. It was an interactive bday party. We all had fun. This year I plan to pay for the Discover the Magic Tour. From what the CM told me the kids get to go on a little hunt within the park as well as some other goodies and ride perks. I know my son would enjoy it because he just loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Hope you guys have fun :) - pinkmonkeys  321.4 #515 11:31AM

I know he is going to feel so special walking around with his own little tour guide (even though its in a group). We are going to go during the week, I just have to schedule it. When are you planning on going? - pinkmonkeys  321.4 #515 12:14PM
We will be there the 1st through the 3rd - jillyinwonderland  12.0 #6229 1:43PM
See if he can drive the Mark Twain or ride in the front of the Monorail - Sarafina  398.6 #335 11:37AM
That is an awesome idea. I didn't know they allowed us to do that. - jillyinwonderland  12.0 #6229 11:40AM
Good suggestion! Mark Twain is closed but the front of the Monorail is a lot of fun. - AKMouse  376.5 #364 11:41AM
Or atleast the front of one of the trains, or even the lillybelle - Philliprocks  276.3 #761 2:06PM
