Disney Parks Blog announces the Magic Band to Walt Disney World. Confirming the post Dave had put out, the Magic Band is a theme park ticket, hotel key, Photopass, and Fastpass all in one. ooo! Tell us how it is :) We have been told that Annual Passholder lines for entry are longer now, because the thumbprint turnstiles take up more room, and therefore they have fewer turnstiles available for the scanning of the cards since they have converted many for the chip- in turn causing a longer wait for people using alternate methods of entry. - Lola027 444.9 #277 7:15AM

Definitely not going to like this during the summertime if or when it comes to DL. That bracelet looks a bit tight around the wrist which I don't like. I always wear my loose fitting watches in the summer because of this very reason. - KermitFan13

I just checked out the My Disney Experience app, which is available for both iPhone and Android, and it not too impressive. You need to sign in or create a Disney account to be able to see the wait times. Its takes a moment to load when navigating and the worst is the google maps they have of the four parks which could be painfull to try and load. It has a here and now button which is just like the whatnext button here on Mw. - sleepyhead

I could be wrong, but doesn't this seem like something that would cost the parks a TON! Not just in the initial set up cost, but also in replacing the lost/broken and more likely, stolen bands. Kinda wish we could keep things simple. Not sure I like one more reason to be on my phone while at the parks with friends and family. - Sweet_Irish_Cream
