I've got a question I know someone here will be able to answer. If I have a 4 day pass and want to upgrade it to an AP, will the expiration date be a year from the first time I used the 4 day pass or will it be a year after the last day I used the 4 day pass? I hope that makes sense. Thanks!
The pass would start from the first date that you used the ticket. Hope that helps! - DisneyDavidEMT

The timer for the Annual Pass would start the first time you use the pass itself. So assuming you will use the 4 day pass first and the AP at a later visit, it would begin at the later date where you use the AP to get in. Upgrading to an AP during your 4-day visit does not automatically start the exp. date counter. - JRDrummer_CM

That's interesting. I thought it did. - Alicewhoareyou 535.7 #209 6:24PM
It would if you want to apply the cost of your 4day hopper to it though, right? - TinkerSchelle 629.8 #170 6:26PM
Well when I got my pass the paper clearly stated the exp. date clock did not begin until I used it for the first time. I assumed the same rule would apply to all other APs to avoid this kind of confusion, no matter what method you use to purchase the pass. I apologize if I am incorrect. - JRDrummer_CM 789.3 #117 6:32PM
No worries, I see what you were thinking. Yes, that would apply to a pass you paid for at full price before you enter the park. If a family has a 4-day park-hopper and uses it, let's say starting tomorrow, and then decide on their last day (Wed) to upgrade to an AP, the clock would have had to start ticking as of tomorrow...otherwise, the AP should be paid at full price at a later date. If the AP hadn't kicked in yet, you would essentially be getting your 4-day pass for free. Not sure if that makes sense, but I think that's right? lol - Alicewhoareyou 535.7 #209 6:39PM
Ohhhh yeah, I see your logic. I totally get it now. Wasn't thinking. @JediKitty disregard my message... I don't know what I'm talking about lol :P - JRDrummer_CM 789.3 #117 6:48PM
From the AP Terms And Conditions: If an upgrade to a Passport is made from a multi-day ticket, the Passport will be backdated to begin on the first day that the multi day ticket was used. - NotSoDapperDan
